Torwood House Hotel

Had a surprise 60th birthday at the Sparth Hotel, Accrington. The food was delicious, the staff were amazing, friendly and they even went to the trouble of getting in a particular ginger beer for one of our non-drinking guests. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had a Brilliant night. Big thank you to all my family and friends and thank you to the staff, you made me feel really special

Brilliant wedding venue. Great staff, lovely rooms, and great out door areas and gardens.

Lovely venue. Food amazing only problem is they don't take cash! This is a big let down. We had taken money out of the bank for this all day wedding and so had quite a few other people. All people didn't have bank cards. Not really sure why cash wasn't accepted

We recently had my Mum's funeral meal at Sparth House for about 50 guests. The room and the staff were good. The starter, dessert and the main course for meat eaters were very good but the vegetarians and vegans were served a bowl of white rice and a few chopped mushrooms with some rocket thrown on top. This was supposed to be mushroom strogonoff!

At 34 per head it was very disappointing. These days with the rapidly growing number of vegans and vegetarians it should be possible to offer something much tastier and more substantial than a few mushrooms on a bed of white rice.

I photographed a wedding here on the weekend. A super clean venue with very attentive staff. The staff are some of the best I've come across at weddings. The families of the bride and groom continued to comment on how amazing the service was at this place.

Attended my niece's wedding on Friday, the ceremony was beautiful, the whole day was thoroughly organised by the lead lady of staff and all staff were lovely that made the day extra special (they worked extremely hard.thank you very much). Food was lovely (My son arrived late due to unforeseen circumstances so I enquired about saving his main course but unfortunately Chef wouldn't allow it because it had sat at room temperature for too long and I was very impressed by this).

The rooms were lovely, I was disappointed with a double bed because I'm used to a king size bed but that's my preference. I also liked the access to x2 sitting rooms available to residents if you wanted a quiet place to sit and chat whilst the younger ones wanted to dance and let their hair down. Thanks again to all the staff for their hard work!

Just celebrated our wedding at Sparth House 15.01.22. From start to finish the team were excellent From the first meeting to the day nothing was to much trouble. The Venue is beautiful, the food outstanding. Thank you so much to Katie & all the team, you made our day perfect

We went for a wedding as Evening guests the house was lovely and the food which included a BBQ was nice. The only draw back was it was hotter than the sun in the room we were dancing in I thought I was going to pass out! They need to invest in air con!

Stayed overnight for a wedding, it is beautiful, gorgeous venue to stay at. Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for you. Provided excellent meals, and the most amazing service. Rooms were clean and spacious, very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone who wants to celebrate any special moment in their lives. Felt so very welcome, and as if staying with very good friends/family.

We held a celebration of our mums life at Sparth House. Everything was perfect, the room was welcoming, the buffet delicious aand the staff first class. Everyone attending said how lovely it had been. Thank you for all your care and attention- we would highly recommend this venue.

Sparth house is so beautiful and the team are amazing we had our wedding here two weeks ago and it was perfect

We had our wedding here on 1st of August 2021 and I can honestly say it was a fantastic day for everyone involved. A big thank you to Olivia and Katie for being truly amazing throughout the day and evening. It wouldn't have been possible without the both of them especially after what's happened the last 2 years regarding the pandemic (this was our 4th attempt to get married). I would highly recommend Sparth House for weddings and evening receptions.

My daughter had her wedding at this wonderful venue which was not only a beautiful setting for a wedding but the staff made the day absolutely fantastic by organising everything perfectly without anyone even spotting it. Thanks not only to Olivia and Katie but the whole staff for their friendly helpful and professional attitude. The food was delicious and the lemon posset was outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone

A hidden gem. Perfect wedding venue. The friendly and helpful staff are a joy to work with. How many times have you, as a photographer, cringed on the few times they offer to help with things like the confetti shot? Worry not, these girls know exactly what they are doing. A photographer's paradise, lots of different places to shoot outside, some with natural shade some open.

The freshly prepared food efficiently served was amazing, salmon 'to die for', beef cooked to perfection, just melted on the tongue, light and fluffy cheesecake. I could go on. As you may have realised I was very pleasantly surprised by this family owned venue. Have a look I am sure you will be as delighted as I was.
