We have just experienced the most laid back, comfortable and welcoming establishment. I wish we could have stayed longer. Every member of staff, from the delightful Quintin, breakfast ladies and even the laundry man were superb. No airs and graces, simply fine hospitality and friendly people. We were fortunate to be given one of the ground floor apartments in the courtyard.

The facilities are great and the apartment, spacious. Very comfortable indeed! Bed was very good. Breakfast was delivered by lovely staff and meant that we could totally relaxed. Maybe this is a service which could be offered after covid restrictions? It made such a difference to our stay. Great breakfast too. On a personal note, I would prefer to have the choice of unsmoked bacon. This was SUCH an enjoyable, relaxed, comfortable stay. I would love. To return. Thank you to all. XXX

Delightful hotel in a surprising charming location. So much more than a sugar beet factory - gardens, abbey ruins, well kept gardens, and a run of interesting high streets and other walking locales - good stuff.

A charming place to stay - couldn't stay in the main hotel due to covid but had a very pleasant two night stay in the self contained St Botolph's Cottage. The cottage is rustic but the bathroom and kitchenette provide you with everything you need. Very nice living room with vaulted ceiling and bedroom on the mezzanine. Be aware that the steep staircase in this period property won't be for everyone. My only negative comment would be that I felt the place could be cleaner, there was quite a bit of dust in places, but I would still recommend this place.

Reasonably quiet apartment although my bedroom was on the main ish road. TV had a small screen size and only had access to freeview channels. Some lamps in various wall sconces randomly illuminate. An oven glove would have been useful. Minor issues really, on balance a comfortable apartment for the business person. Breakfast starts at 07:30 so if you need to get to work early, as I did, this could be an issue.

I have minimal interaction with staff and therefore have no real opinion on service. I will be staying for a significant time and I am hoping a few of the little niggles can be ironed out.

Such a lovely hotel! The room was so modern and clean! The staff was more than helpful and provided excellent customer service. There is a restaurant downstairs and pubs right outside the hotel. If you wanted to wander off from the hotel, the Roman Baths is a walk of a few minutes away as well as Pulteney Bridge. Lots of food/dessert places near as well! And a mall super close! We parked at SouthGate Car Park for 24 hours and only paid 14! Super cheap. I was very happy to stay here! I definitely would recommend!

Hospitality abounds at this conveniently located, quaint hotel. Spotlessly clean, the room, guest lounge, and breakfast room are all laid out to make you feel comfortable and welcome. I recommend their breakfast, hot food is freshly cooked to order. They also provide a nice range of breads, cereals, and pastries. Staff are friendly and gracious. Overall, a delight!

Old & loaded with British charm in a town that's old & loaded with British charm. Bright airy large room with firm double bed, 2 comfy chairs, and comfortable en suite. Friendly staff. Located within walking distance of everything. Very narrow driveway into parking - seemed impossible, but it was OK.
