Draycote Hotel

Poor service at breakfast young people with no leadership busy doing nothink. food ran out too quickly and not replaced until several guests asked for it tobe topped up which we shouldnt have to be doing as we are the guests paying for a service which was poooooooor

So first let's start with the advertising of this hotel they take pretty pictures but don't show that the room facilities are dated and not up to standard for what they charge. So the staff when I arrived I was met with no one at the reception after ringing the bell twice some one came and asked what I wanted. I told them I wished to book in to which he asked my name and handed me my room key I then asked about the rooms and he responded with I work at the bar not reception.

When I got in the room I decided to unpack. I turned Ed a d found the TV which was am old bulky dvd TV that was in the far corner of the room. When I turned it on it wayled out this horrendous contious noise. I went straight to reception we're I was met by a man who said I have to see for myself as the video I took wasn't sufficient to him. He checked and said yes I hear it too.

I asked fir a different one as I want to sit and watch some TV as it was around 0800 but he advised the other rooms hadn't been cleaned and I'd have to wait till tomorrow. So an ery night for me then. We'll it would have been if the bed wasn't so uncomfortable clearly the hot didn't want to replace broken mattresses and instead just place this horrendous foam on top which was soft enough to feel the lumps in the mattress.

After already being told about there being no rooms I thought I'd have to wait till morning. The next morning I mention it to the staff and they said they would look into it. I returned that even to find they had changed the TV so I could actually watch it but did nothing to the bed. That was theist night I stayed there and In the morning I cancelled my remaining three nights which I was informed I'd oy get refunded for 2 as they'd have to get someone to make up the room. I couldn't be bothered to argue the fact on that's how a hotel works. 0 out of 5 would not recommend

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings, ideal wedding venue. The wedding breakfast was delicious and the morning after breakfast was good. The only negative was the air extraction wasn't working in the bathroom so it was a bit wiffy on arrival.

Nothing was too much trouble when organising my mothers wake at the hotel. The staff had great attention to detail, and helped make the afternoon relaxing and enjoyable for all. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to Megan and team.

We've just had a 90th Birthday party of afternoon tea for a group of 20 people. We can't praise the service, support and efficiency of the staff. The food was excellent and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you.

We had our wonderful wedding day here on 4th December 2021, from the initial show around where we knew it was the venue for us to our magical big day everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble, they welcomed our endless questions and changes, meaning there was no stress and our day ran seamlessly. Emma was there for all of the planning stages and ensured that every detail was captured, then on the big day the whole team were amazing, there in the background making sure they delivered our vision. Ian especially worked tirelessly to ensure our day went to plan.

We wanted our guests to not only enjoy the day but to feel relaxed and that is the exact feedback we had from so many. The food was exceptional, we were welcomed to input to the menu and many guests said it was the best wedding food they have had. Thank you to each and every one of you that was involved for all of your hard work.

The hotel is very clean, well set out. The food was great and well priced for a venue like that. The attention we received from the staff was first class. Drink prices were similar to that of a pub but you get the quieter ambience that you dont get in a pub. Overall a great experience and would go back for sure.

Stated overnight for a wedding, the wedding was amazing all the staff were great, breakfast in the morning was super, 4 stars as the room was a slight let down, very basic and looking a little tired the bed was massive I lost my wife in it only 1 instant coffee sachet each 1 small biscuit each no bottled water either.

Had our Christmas meal/party there. Nice place with a very pleasant atmosphere. Team all very friendly and helpful. The only minus was the food. It was okay, but for the price I expected better. It might be me. First course was pate and a bread roll that I ate before the pate arrived. So a very nice peice of pate and chutney with nothing else. Did manage to get another roll but a bit of salad & Toast would have been nice.

Main course was a lot of stuffing wrapped in a slice of turkey with bacon. Three roast pots one slice of carrot and parsnip, with a salty pig in blanket. Nice gravy. Did not enjoy the brownie for dessert but did like the ice cream.

Just back after a week of staying here. Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable also very little noise or door slamming in the evening. Which helped have good nights sleep. I would recommend staying for dinner in the restaurant as the food was presented well and very nice with a variety of meals to choose from, but not an extensive list. Staff were friendly and helpful. If travelling to this hotel at night be aware the turn into the hotel is not very well lit off the main road so you may miss it.

I wouldn't normally review an afternoon tea but I'm so impressed I want to tell everybody what a wonderful experience it was. There is nothing to fault. The service was superb, the surroundings tasteful, clean with added bonus of festive decorations. As for the actual afternoon tea, it was delicious, varied and well priced. Will definitely be returning soon.

We were well looked after for a family birthday event. Pleasant venue, strongly featuring golf. Staff supportive so we had a relaxed time. Can recommend the place.

Booked a night here with my wife and daughter for our wedding anniversary. Afternoon tea was delicious. The set menu was great and breakfast was lovely. Room was spacious, clean and tidy. Great value for money. The next morning I fancied a few whacks on the driving range and the club pro even lent me a few clubs. My daughter also tried to hit a few balls. Great technology on yeh range with tracking shots etc The staff went out if their way to look after us and we had a lovely time. Would definately stay again. Many thanks.

I had my wedding here just over a week ago and it was a great day. Not something I had in mind when I originally booked in 2019, but several guests commented that they felt safe in terms of Covid (we just missed restrictions so full numbers attended). Draycote was accommodating when we had to change dates 3 times (I've heard tales of other places that were not!). Staff were polite and Emma the planner was great.
