Kilworth House Hotel This glorious Grade II listed Italianate country house was built as a family home towards the end of the nineteenth century for John Entwisle, the High Sheriff of Leicestershire. After the death of Mr Entwisle's second wife in the 1960s, the house passed to the Snowdon family who turned it into several flats. In 1999 the current owners, Celia and Richard Mackay, bought the house and painstakingly restored it to its former glory transforming it into the beautiful Hotel and grounds you see today. John Bertie Norreys Entwisle had public service in his blood.

First time staying over at Kilworth although we've often eaten there and visited the theatre for shows and live music! The theatre break - dinner, theatre, bed and breakfast - was a great experience, particularly as the weather was kind and allowed us walks around the grounds. Worth every penny.

Kilworth House Hotel and their magnificent outside theatre ticks all the 'fantastic time' boxes. Enjoyed their production of 'Carousel' last night (take tissues if you are as soft as I am). Had a delicious meal in the Orangery before the show. Stayed overnight in a beautiful room. Woke up after a wonderful night's sleep to a sumptuous breakfast. Happy Birthday Me!

To top it all, I even met the lovely Judith Chalmers who just happened to be sitting behind me in the audience. The staff, the cast, the atmosphere is second to none. The orchestra, as always provided the most memorable score to the show. Sadly, even though each musician is as much part of the entire musical experience as every brilliant member of the cast, being tucked away in a tent out of view of the audience should be addressed.

Surely a close circuit camera and TV above the stage could include them in the event. The audience needs to see the orchestra to add to the magic of the theatrical experience. Kilworth House. Don't tuck them away. Please allow them to join in the magic. Put the orchestra on the stage with everybody else performing their hearts out. Thank you.

Lovely wedding venue. Beautuful old mansion with great decor and artworks. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms could have small fridge to assist visitors with medicine requirements.

My daughter was married locally in September (2021) and was given a voucher for she and her husband to share a celebratory meal and/or treatment. Numerous times both last year and this she has tried to make a booking. But she is always told the hotel is too busy to accept a booking. Not too busy to have accepted the money in the first place! Hoping someone in authority reads this and sorts something out. If I could leave a no star review I would.

We had the most wonderful stay at Kilworth House over Christmas. From the moment we arrived into the beautifully festive hotel, the staff were amazing. They had a big function on and the foyer was busy with guests enjoying the festivities, but they greeted us with such warmth and attention. We were staying with our 2 year old son, and everyone was so accommodating to our needs; arranging for us to have our dinners up in our room while he was sleeping, helping us with ALL our luggage, and attending to our gluten free requirements.

It wasn't just that the service from the entire team was exceptional - you might expect that from a high quality hotel - it was how genuinely friendly and caring they all were to our family. On Christmas morning they'd even bought our son a lovely Christmas present. We felt completely at home and it was amazing for our son to have such a magical Christmas experience. We'll be back!

Lovely building but needing some restoration in parts but, overall, lovely. Don't expect any kind of bar service.staff not trained properly. Bar prices far to high and no Ale beer! Only bottled beer! Or bottled lager over 5 per bottle! My Sons wedding went off reasonably well but, without a PA system & microphone no one apart from the front row of guests could hear anything. The same could be said for the Father of the bride speech & Best Persons speeches. Mr Emery From Cambridge.

We had our fabulous wedding at Kilworth House in November and it's was nothing short of magical! The staff, venue, food. everything was perfect from start to finish. Today we went back for the first time since our wonderful day for the Easter Sunday lunch. Once again it was wonderful. the staff were wonderful and attentive, the food delicious and venue faultless.

The childrens entertainer who did the balloon making and face painting was amazing and really added to a lovely afternoon. Keep up what your doing and we can't wait to return again soon! X

Went here for afternoon tea with work friends in memory of a colleague who died recently and loved to visit Kilworth House.now we know why! Lovely atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff and delicious food. I had the gluten free tea, which was very good. Regular refills of hot drinks were offered. The house is gorgeous, with roaring fires in the waiting areas; great on a chilly afternoon/evening. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are planning to make it an annual outing.

A beautiful place at any time but spectacular at Christmas. The Orangery decorated beautifully, great service and good food. Christmas trees in abundance and candles glowing. Even Scrooge would be impressed.

Not good on this occasion. Took over 40 minutes to get our drinks. One of our group ordered a cocktail. The staff had never heard of it even though it was on their cocktail menu. We were told it couldn't be made as no one 'on site' could make cocktails. Food was good but not impressed with the service.

Always a pleasure visiting Kilworth house. The food is fantastic and always well presented. The staff very pleasant and nothing seems too much trouble for them. Been a visitor here for over 17 years since I got married there and will continue to be a customer in the future

We stayed at Kilworth House for my son's wedding. The venue was stunning with views of the countryside all round. The accommodation was excellent with lovely food and wonderful facilities. I couldn't fault the staff who made the wedding an event to always remember. So friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Having just been to the most amazing wedding at Kilworth Hall I felt I had to come on here and say what a wonderful front of house team they had on yesterday. The food was amazing and the bar staff were friendly but not in a false sense. 100% recommended and I might even have my wedding here having had such a great time!

Kilworth is lovely - used it both for business and pleasure and it suits both very well. Upsides are the staff without a doubt as well as the Theatre.downside, for me, is the lack of a pool & casual bar.
