Stayed there couple months ago, still getting parking fines about staying there even after ringing them and telling them. Obviously still ignoring me and now trying to threaten me with a DCA. Will not be going back there any time soon

I checked on the Friday the 18th for one night, the day time receptionist guy was friendly and nice guy, but the main issue for me about the room heater was not heat properly I have reported this issue to the evening receptionist and he sent someone to check it he told me that the heater is fine, tbh it works but not to heat the room enough I was so cold and all the time under my blanket, I asked them for electric heater they don't have, I just can't get How on earth hotel got only 2 heaters and no more to give to other guests so I had to stay cold and freezing in the room.

Overall I don't think the price I paid for this room and condition is fair I should get at least a refund especially at that time the weather was really cold and horrible, So do I recommend anyone to stay there of course not.

Very poor choice at the bar, only bottled beers, no soda or sparkling water. Food which was open rolls very basic and tasteless. Toilets were clean, and staff very pleasant, some work needed to make this a choice.

Hotel was worse than faulty towers. Wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Had drinks in the hotel bar and they ran out of coke and had no change- so had to pay with card and then they closed the bar at 9.30 ( residents of the hotel couldn't even get a drink after ).the room was dirty old fashioned and very very dated. No smoke detectors in the rms or fire alarm / safety plans.

The bed was Rock solid with 1 dirty flat pillow each. We had to put a mug on top of the kettle for it to actually boil. TV remote didn't work. Took pictures as I wanted to warn people what it was actually like. Didn't expect excellence but for 75 pound a rm a 10 pounds per person for breakfast we expected something a lot better

We were booked to stay here 30th September. The mattress protector was filthy, had blood stains on and other unknown stains. The duvet was also filthy and badly stained! Whoever made up the bed should be ashamed, how could they miss this and expect anyone to sleep in it. We had to look for another hotel at midnight. The managers excuse was that they were refubishing and because of covid.

Clean bedding is nothing to do with refurbishment and simply an everyday expectation and as for covid - surely even more reason to be extra careful to make sure it was clean. I wouldn't use the bedding in a pig pen - disgusting. Oh and we were supposed to be grateful because they did not charge us and waived the cancellation fee!

This hotel is one of the worst hotel have ever seen. When we discussed that we were five as a family why can't you tell us that it against the rule of your hotel instead you charged extra money for extra bed in a room that you knew that it only for four people in which you know in your mind that you are going to charge for damages after all. My question is this why did you charged or took extra money when you know that the room is meant for four people? Or I we not paid?

Tired, uncared for. No soap supplied in en-suite. Dirty shower. Clean sheets and towels. So I decided to recommend the Grosvenor to my fiance's sisters coming from London, to stay the night before our wedding. I booked in too as it's walking distance not only from the railway station but also the church. Arrived and was shown to my single room costing 60 without breakfast.

It was right up in the loft space and when it's 30 degrees outside i expected the windows open and a fan as it was a small room. The bed looked clean as did the towels, the draws in the dressing table were broken. The curtains were poorly hung and as thin as tissue paper. No kettle, no fan, no ventilation prior to my arrival but worst of all NO SOAP, in Covid times of 2021!

I went back to reception and asked for another room even said I'd pay the extra. Was shown to room 5 - a double, again windows tightly closed in Covid times I can't believe a hotel would not have ventilated rooms. The receptionist told me it was to stop complains about flies. The curtains are thicker and properly hung. He said kettles were on request due to Covid and he brought me one with a selection of tea bags, long life milk and coffee. Cups were already in the rooms.

The ensuite looked much more updated and tidier than room 24 so I took it. Went out for a meal as hotel not serving food except pre booked breakfast at around 10. On returning to my room hopped in the shower, noticed it wasn't draining well so picked up the plug hole cover and got covered in black body waste! Wouldn't recommend. Tomorrow I'm showering else where

First off the staff were amazing, they were helpful and accommodating in every way they could be. It's just a shame that the building itself has seen better days. The decor was out dated and the place had a stuffy feel about it. I do have to mention the restaurant though. The food we got from there was really good. The chicken tikka was one of the best I've ever had. I'd give the bar a miss though, pretty poor selection and you pay hotel prices for the privilege.

The bathroom is really nice, new and clean. However, there was no hands soap, only 1 small bottle of shampoo and another small one of shower gel. In the room there were spider webs on the ceiling and there was a weird smell of.moulding. Overall i think there could have been better conditions for the price

The Grosvenor Hotel presents a good image but fails to deliver. The rooms although not unclean do require a deep clean and could be cleaner. The water pressure is extremely bad / non existence and the water temp is far too hot. There was a missing floorboard that had been simply carpeted over (in my opinion); however the hotel dispute that, causing me to trip.

We were all unable to shower the following morning because there was no water pressure. Raised these issues and made a complaint only to be told the floorboard must have just happened - I really don't think so; and since we didn't give them notice to look into the water pressure while we were resident they refused any reasonable recompense for the stay. However; this was not possible as we left early 9 am and it was reported on leaving. Offered 10% as a goodwill gesture and 15% off any future stay. Please make up you own mind based on all reviews but we wont be returning. 115 for a bed but no breakfast or shower. Very let down. N.B this is a self rated 3 ***.
