Services
The team at The Greyhound Coaching Inn is the most important part of the hotel's success. Many of the staff have been at the hotel for several years and take great pride in the high quality of customer service they provide. The Greyhound Coaching Inn is owned by Robert Eggleston who bought the Grade II listed building in 1989 and totally refurbished and renovated the hotel, creating guest bedrooms, a Restaurant, bar, lounge and the relaxing atmosphere of the Courtyard.Robert, whilst likened to Basil Fawlty by some customers, tries to provide a unique experience far removed from that of branded hotels.
For those more action orientated there is scuba diving at Stoney Cove, test driving at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground and two golf courses within 3 miles of The Greyhound. There are also many sporting activities available in the local area including a well equipped leisure and sports centre in Lutterworth just a few minutes from the hotel.
Accommodation at The Greyhound Coaching Inn comprises 33 ensuite bedrooms. All our rooms are individually designed and furnished to a high specification and each has its own charm and individuality. Our bedrooms give you the comfort, quality and traditional atmosphere you would expect in a Grade II listed, 18th century hotel.

Beautiful hundreds years old inn, with an amazing inner garden, good food, very friendly staff. I give them 4 stars because the rooms could get a bit more love, all those hanging wires feom the electric lights destroy the architectural beauty of the old inn, also, at the first floor they dumped some old kitchen equipment that looks out of the place.
However the experience was very lovely, very clean, you get fresh water every day, the breakfast have good variety. If you book this place I recommend you to choose a room with a window towards the inner path/garden, definitely eill make your day and you can avoid the street noise.

We booked out the Restaurant for a Christening celebration for our daughter. The staff were so helpful in the planning right through to the end of the function. They were also polite and attentive on the day. We were allowed to setup the room as we wanted, they put on an amazing buffet spread. Good choice of drinks from the bar and we'll definitely return in future for another function.

The four poster bedroom was in very poor condition, broken lighting, scuffs high up on the wall, shower looks the part but has no pressure rendering as pointless, central heating inoperable, furniture tired and in disrepair and unusable. The bed sheets were scruffy and unironed giving a lived in feeling. The management have no idea of procedures comprising the security of my banking details.
I'm shocked at the lack of professionalism from senior staff. Obviously this establishment are playing at being a hotel. Never again will I stay or reccomend this place even in an emergency to others in a good light. I await a promised refund, which will never materialise a truly dishonest management

First time visit to this hotel for a one night stay for a New year's eve due at the Wycliffe Rooms. It's very oldly worldly with loads of character. Our Room 23 was up some steep exterior steps. The bed was comfy & the shower was okay being over a bath. The council run car park is on its doorstep & you can use a App to pay. Breakfast was included but we missed it having got into the room in the early hours of the morning. We will return for this year's new year's eve due if it take place.
