Didn't stay, just went in for a meal. Had steak and ale pudding, very bland and steak was very dry, veg was undercooked. 2 kids meal, comprising of 5 Frozen chicken nuggets and overcooked chips 19.90! Rip off. 2 cans of Coke 4.60. Trying to charge London prices for less than average food. Would not recommend at all!

Didn't stay here. We were in every day for a drink and our lunch. The food is reasonably priced, locally sourced and well prepared. Couldn't fault any dish we had, except that the portions were so big that 3 courses was impossible, I think I'll let them off. Highly recommend a visit. Staff were friendly and efficient. Tables cleaned between every customer.

Great hotel. Room was nice and cleaned each day and tea/coffee, bathroom towels replenished each day if required. Management and staff really nice and friendly. Breakfast (which is included) was really excellent and evening meals were fantastic and reasonably priced. Hotel bar area really busy both afternoons and evenings with people having drinks or meals and drinks, so shows you how popular it is. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Very nice pub across from the harbour. We sat out after a lovely coastal walk (we had earned it!) and enjoyed the sun and a few drinks. Whilst we didn't eat here because of the time we were there the food that we saw looked lovely and there were certainly plenty of people enjoying it. As it was winter when we visited there was just the one hand pulled beer but it was excellent and I could certainly have enjoyed a few more if time was permitting.

My wife and I stayed in Portpatrick for a few nights and came here for dinner for 2 of those nights. The food was delicious. Steak and ale pudding, Thai curry and the fish and chips were all fantastic. Nice friendly staff and everyone sitting round us were all chatting away with each other. Definitely go back again, both nights we were going to order the sticky toffee pudding but wouldn't have managed it.
