Brompton Hotel

As soon as you enter this hotel you realize how dirty it is. The carpets are not clean. the reception is a kind of closed counter as if you had to protect yourself. And my room. two twin beds with a window facing a wall.a dirty feeling.ageless old bedding. the hotel is very badly soundproofed you can hear everything. it cracks. And the cherry on the cake this morning wanting to take a shower no hot water. In short, an establishment to avoid absolutely! RUN AWAY!

Looks a little tired as you walk in, but our room was wayyyy above expectations. There were 5 adults so expected to be cramped, oh noo we even had 2 x3 seater sofas a fridge, microwave, hairdryer, kettle. Bathroom was nice and clean bedding clean and white! Staff were helpful and friendly. Let us check in early too!

I WARN YOU! The receptionist won't let you put your bags before going in to the room. He will swear and shout at you for coming in early. He will act as a racist person. The hotel stinks as soon as you get inside. The place doesn't feel safe at all feels like you might get robbed anytime.

Worn out and incredibly noisy. Walls are made of cardboard, you can hear people coughing, talking, even when they do it quietly. Reception staff not available at evenings nights and mornings means you can't report anything. We had party people next door for 2 nights and had no sleep whatsoever during our stay. We asked the staff after first night to please ensure they check who they accommodate and the second night we got a gang of 5 youngsters partying in room next door (404).No door stopping mechanisms anywhere means every time someone enters or leaves the room you just jump up to the big loud slam. Heating switches off intermittently so the room gets cold.

We found previous guest's t-shirt behind the mattress, lots of different hair on bedspread. We know better hostels and this place unfortunately isn't fit to be called a hotel. Scruffy, noisy, outdated, dirty. Avoid. One roll of toilet paper for the two of us for 2 nights. There was a mini fridge in the room that stunk as if it had a dead body decomposing in it.

If you want to use hot running water you may just as well get a nap waiting for it - takes ages. Shower lukewarm and toilet didn't flush properly. We went away for a weekend to get some rest and came back home with baggy eyes, frustrated and angry.

Cons Toilet requires special flush sequence to operate. The staff was helpful and came to the room without a mask to teach the secret flush. Stained bedding and towels provided interesting game of is that blood or ketchup? No hot water allowed us the opportunity to see if we could wash without getting frost bite. Bell for front door rings in entire hotel.

You can hear the drunks trying to get in at 2 AM, every delivery person and seemingly random friends just hanging out at reception. Two of four power outlets in room didn't work properly. Bring a power strip if you have more than a couple items to charge overnight. If you wake up the staff at 935 AM to check out, they'll express their displeasure. Pros Awesome location. Just a short walk to underground and easy access to the city. Tons of great food in the area.

I wish I didn't have to give ANY stars as this place is the most disgusting place I've ever seen. One entrance is dated, carpets worn dirty and overall filthy. Next staff wasn't helpful at all. Arrived in room and was afraid to put down luggage. Bedding is stained. Sink is broken, toilet doesn't flush. Staff enters room without mask despite signs all over London stating a fine for refusing to wear mask. Had desk clerk enter room to teach us how to pump the toilet 3 times then flush.

Oh dont worry sink didn't work well and shower didn't work at all. Mini fridge didn't work as drinks left over night were warmer than room temperature drinks. Duvet was stained. If anyone needs assistance from front desk staff there's a bell to push that rings through entire building so EVERYONE knows someone is at desk One plug worked. If you stood too close to tv it caused interference.

Yet room was so tiny you couldn't move without walking near tv. Every step in room is either creaky or so weak and dilapidated that you feel it sink. Couldn't wait to get out of this place but am worried we now either have lice or bedbugs as its that disgusting. Tried checking out at 0930 the manager yelled at us for waking him up. The ONE good thing is location but I can strongly suggest you book at any other hotel in the area.

Worst Hotel experience ever, DO NOT STAY HERE! To many things to mention, Wifi does not work regularly and staff says do not complain its free. Shower works sometimes and no clean towels, staff stays you have to ask for new ones. If the staff ( Harry at reception) could use his negative energy and arguments and 1000 excuses to do something positive it would be great hotel. Dirtiest hotel I have seen for many years and staff is honestly the worst, more worried if you recording them than to help - Great hotels around the corner - DO NOT STAY HERE. - wish I could give it -1 points - should be closed down

Worst hotel experience I've had to date. They charge you 10 an hour to store luggage outside of check in times. The staff are also incredibly unpleasant and have a terrible attitude towards customers. Not only that but the rooms are dirty and the WiFi works very poorly. I could not emphasis how much I recommend you to DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. If you are looking for an affordable hotel I would recommend the Cromwell International Hotel only 5 minutes walk away from Gloucester Road Station.

The room met basic expectations: it was comfortable and had an adequate washroom. There was not a lift, so disability access would be an issue. The pricing was great. The staff were friendly and responded to email inquiries promptly; there was no setup for leaving phone messages for the front desk, so you needed to catch them during business hours to reach them.

We stayed in the suite immediately above the the hotel entrance. We could hear all the reveling going on in the bar below the hotel, which would calm down around 2am. Because of the noise, we would recommend staying in a room located higher in the hotel or further from the street.

Excellent value for money. Rooms were clean, beds comfy. A few things you could nit-pick, but if they were fixed it would cost a lot more to stay here. All the important stuff is perfect.

If arrived earlier than check in time, they charge 10 pounds per hour for storing your luggage. receptionist's attitude is rude. found storage place thats 6 poundd per day. too late for us but hope this info is useful to others.

Hotel was awful, first door by entrance was smashed and glass not even removed so very dangerous, stair carpet absolutely filthy, no service of any kind, no cups in room so couldn't have a cup of tea, only 1 towel and 1 small bar of soap even though 2 adults in room. Bathroom door had to be pulled open as stuck and made so much noise when you tried to open it, toilet didn't flush properly.

Bar was very noisy and still people in there and shouting at 2am We thought breakfast was included but when we left no one about and reception and bar was closed. Left keys in box. Very poor although on a positive note bed was comfortable and sheets were clean.

If I could give it 0.01 stars I would. Staff were rude and unhelpful, shower was mouldy, there were other peoples pubes embedded in the towels but the worst thing were the bedbugs infesting the very uncomfortable bed. We could not leave fast enough. Yes its cheap and central but it is not worth it. Don't go here.

The worst hotel I have ever been into. Receptionist is constantly rude, service is inexistent, rooms are as dirty as it can gets, the only thing it has is being in the city center. For everything else, I hope they fail tomorrow. The shower has dust inside and hasn't been cleaned from the previous users time, I cannot shower and they are unable to change rooms, or clean it.

You need to leave the trash outside, because they don't really come to clean in the rooms, and more to add. I have been here only 24 hours out a week, and I am not sure i'll make it out alive. Wish me good luck.
