Services
Only a 20 minute drive from the Mandalay is the Eden Project. The largest rainforest in captivity, with stunning plants, exhibitions and stories that serve as a backdrop for contemporary gardens, stunning concerts and exciting all year round family events! Mevagissey harbour is the second largest fishing port in Cornwall.
The Fountain Inn in St Austell is a 15th century Inn and believed to be the oldest public house in the village. They serve traditional, locally sourced food. I can highly recommend the mixed grill if you're very hungry or the fountain fish stew for a taste of the sea!. Truly stunning views of the harbour and a great location to watch the boats with a beautifully set out dining and bar area.

Months on from our visit to this hidden gem of a place and we are still talking about how great our stay was. Pete and Tina were perfect hosts and their place was great, comfortable, clean and ample convenient parking. They have made many incredible updates in recent time with many more to come. We hope covid passed soo so we can book another visit.

The Mandalay was the perfect stop on our journey into Cornwall. Our room was lovely and the BB itself is a nice distance from the harbour. Which means you avoid the worst of the narrow streets. The continental breakfast was spot on. The relaxing stop at the Mandalay was an excellent way of easing ourselves into our Cornish holiday Perfectly sited for the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Charlestown.

First thing every one needs to know is that customer service is very good at Mandaley. Both Jill and Joe are very friendly and welcoming. They would always be available to give you tips on restaurants, sight seeing spots or anything that you need to know. Secondly the "Full English Breakfast" or as I have seen in some places they like to call it "Full Cornish Breakfast".
The breakfast had a choice of cereal, orange juice and a big English breakfast. Let's just say the second day I asked for half of everything. I stayed in room 3 and 1. Both of them were twin rooms en-suit. They are modest but are more then comfortable. It is very good value for your money. Jill had told me before hand the shower opened into the room. The shower cubicle in both rooms just sits in the corner of the room. Overall I rate this B&B at five starts for their service and value for money.
