The kindness and care Leonie showed to myself and my daughter in our time of need, really put our minds at ease. The room we had was lovely and it was such a nice breakfast in l'orangerie. It is within walking distance to everything you would ever need including the Royal Brompton hospital. Walking to the hospital saved on taxi fares.

Leonie, the proprietor of the Aster House, is the supreme concierge. We have been her guest 3 times now-she held my hand the first time-telling me to get short rest after arriving and then giving us a wake up call a couple hours later so we could conquer jet lag. The comradery amongst guests is a bright spot of our London visits. We would never have known not to miss Greenwich if not for a lovely mother daughter sitting near us one morning. My 3 adult children refuse to stay anywhere else. It is precious.

The room was adorable; the staff under the direction of Leonie Tan, were superb, and the breakfast was typically British and served by Lola, who made us feel very welcome. The location in South Kensington makes London way-finding extremely easy and delicious restaurants and pubs are within a short walk from the premises. The very best thing about Aster House Is the on-site manager, Leonie, who made our stay the best ever as she made recommendations, gave directions and smoothed our way through a wonderful, memorable stay in London. Thank you so much, Leonie! We will see you again! Bob and Deb Morneau

A special thank you to Leonie and Simon from Ted and Melinda. I can't say enough about Aster House. The location is great; secluded, but a short 5 minute walk to the underground. The accommodations are clean and very nice. The staff is attentive to all your needs. To top it off the breakfast is fresh with a variety of fruits, cheese, meats, beans, pastries, breads, eggs, juice, tea, coffee and more. We plan to return to London and will stay at Aster House! Cheers!

A true gem of a Bed and Breakfast, expertly run by Ms. Leonie Tam and staff. (twelve guest suites?) Clean, quiet, comfortable, well appointed, well located with tube access at South Kensington. Enjoy breakfast in the bright L'Orangerie. Although breakfast is substantially a buffet style, there may be occasions when the pleasant Lola will personally cook for you. You may met repeat guests at Aster House; it will become obvious why that is so.

I stayed at the Aster House this past week for my first trip to London with my Grandmother and my sister. It was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast in general, so I was unsure really of what I was expecting. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by the owner, Leonie. She is absolutely an amazing owner and manager, and throughout our stay she was extremely helpful!
From ensuring my grandmother had a room that was as close to the first floor as possible, to arranging our day trip to Stonehenge and Bath, she was simply fantastic! The first thing that I would note is that this location is not handicap accessible. To even enter the location (it is a townhouse) you must go up about 3 steps. To go to L'Orangerie where the breakfast is held is also up a flight of stairs from the ground floor as well.
My grandmother was able to do the one flight, but had her room been on any other floor it most certainly would have been a struggle. I shared a room with my sister, and we were located on the second floor. Our room had two twin beds, a desk (with a complete tea/coffee service), an armoir, an armchair, and a bathroom with a stand-up shower (no tub).
This was the perfect size for two people. The room was serviced every day, and we were provided with fresh towels. One thing to note is that the showers are quite small. I'm 5'4' and fairly fit. While there was some height to the shower head, my elbows would often hit the walls or the shower door when I would wash your hair. This wasn't necessarily a problem, but something to note. Overall, I would definitely stay here again - most certainly because of its cleanliness and the helpful friendly staff, but also because of its proximity to some amazing restaurants and pubs (the Zetland Arms pub is on the corner, about a 2 minute walk) as well as proximity to a taxi rank and the South Kensington Underground stop. Thank you Leonie and staff for a wonderful first trip to London!

Me and my family (10 & 12 yr kids and my 83 yr old mom) stumbled upon this place by accident. From the moment we met Leonie (manager) that first day, until the day we left (10 days later), we had excellent experience there. Both her and Lola, who also works there, were extremely kind and extra helpful with my mom, who can't walk well and w/us, in terms of showing us where to go and best ways to get there. Leonie is extremely knowledgeable about the town. It's clean and very comfortable. Nice breakfast every morning & fresh sheets and towels every day. I highly recommend this place

Top marks to the lovely Aster House! Following the recommendation by travel expert and celebrity Rick Steves, my father and I booked our stay, and were happy to find accommodations available. The location in South Kensington is a choice part of London. Our room was the Poster Suite, a charming and spacious room, nicely decorated and well-appointed.
The amenities were perfect, including the two double/twin beds under the canopy which easily moved apart, the fireplace and mantle, bath with nice fixtures, tea & coffee service. There were many TV channels available, Wi-Fi, and assistance with luggage up and down the stairs. Ms. Leonie Tan, manager, was so friendly and helpful with local connections and interests.
Breakfast was served in the sunroom, "L'Orangerie, " with plenty of seating, plus a lounging area with coffee table and newspapers, magazines, etc. Breakfasts were buffet-style, with good choices including eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, cereals, nuts and pastries. Coffee and tea were served by the cheerful Russian lady in charge of the room, and she checked to see if we wished anything else not already on the tables. Other guests were also friendly and good conversationalists. Overall, we truly enjoyed our experience at Aster House and will most definitely stay there when we return.

Stayed at Aster B&B for seven days in March 2015. Pluses: The hotel room is extremely clean, with not a speck of dirt nor dust. Room has modern central heating and air conditioning. Building has been thoroughly modernized electrical system, with multiple electric outlets. Hotel has excellent wifi. Bathroom and fixtures are in excellent condition. Hotel is located in a great location, less than two blocks from South Kensington Underground Station with Circle, District, Piccadilly Lines Heathrow can be directly reached with Piccadilly Line and no transfer Hotel has friendly and helpful proprietors and staff. Made easy online reservation and confirmation one week before arrival Room was ready early.
Reasonable price for posh neighborhood. March prices were 33% off regular prices. There is a safe to store valuables. The area is generally quiet at night. Building located less than one block from night life on Old Brompton Road. Hotel serves a breakfast buffet from 8 AM to 9:30 AM. Had a choice of poached or scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, dried cereal, dried fruit, fresh fruit, multigrain bread, fresh jam, fresh pastries, and likely many items that I left out.
There will not be bacon or sausages. Minuses Room is small, with bathroom being tiny No elevator, but I only brought a backpack. If you bring rolling luggage, you will have to carry it up several flights of stairs.
