Dryfesdale Hotel The Dryfesdale Hotel dates back to 1762, set amid acres of magnificent grounds with stunning views of the beautiful Scottish countryside. We travelled here with 36 family and friends for our wedding. The hotel is beautiful, the staff was amazing and couldn't do enough for you and the food was out of this world. The only downfall I can say is that my wedding planner was off duty for the whole weekend I was there so I didn't know what time my car was picking me up and how many could fit in it. But on the whole it was the most perfect day.

Brown colour water was coming from water tapes when running bath, hotel smelt of damp, food was great, staff were great. 4 poster bed rattled and had no curtains on it. If they put the staff In a better maintained Hotel this would of been a great hotel. All the people who stayed at the hotel with us what was about 40 half of them were ill when they got home

Bed made a loud noise, most of the staff were very nice but one in particular was very rude. A hotel in Scotland without a single malt whisky? Not impressed.

A 4* hotel? I think not, more like a 3*. The rom I had was a bit cramped. The window covering was broken. I reported it, it was "fixed" and promptly broke again! As a veggie, the food was "nice". Hardly gastronomic (risotto, couscous with some vegetable stew, mushroom Wellington as examples of mains). The profiteroles I was served one night were still frozen. However, the biggest fax pas for me was serving veggie sandwiches (no real thought given here - cheese or egg - I hate egg sandwiches) mixed with meat and fish sandwiches, a sure fire way for this veggie to not touch them with the proverbial bargepole!
