Situated in possibly the most beautiful valley in the Beacons National Park on the fringes of the pretty and sophisticated market town of Crickhowell, the views here are humbling. With 22 individually styled bedrooms, The Manor's interior is honest and unpretentious, we like to think of its characteristics being similar to well-aged Claret.

Stayed for 2 nights with a large group, the whole weekend was excellent. The food was brilliant, the gym and spa was clean, there are beautiful views from the window, and it is located in a great area. All the staff were very welcoming, but need a special mention for Naomi who went above and beyond to ensure our trip was everything we could have hoped for. For a 3 star hotel it does not get better than this & when returning to this part of the world we will definitely be staying here again.

What a wonderful place to stay. Staff will go above and beyond for you, the room was lovely and clean. Honestly couldn't fault our stay. Will definitely book to come here again. Also there's a little town a mile up the road that includes nice chilled bars often with entertainment and welcoming locals

Bit of a surprise . We arrived at 11pm and got our room key. Too our surprise the room hadn't been made up. Reception did however resolve the issue swiftly and put is in an alternative room. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

The moment we arrived and parked the view alone was breathtaking. Lovely warm welcome at reception and instantly we were impressed with the look of the place. The dining area and leather sofas were very inviting and once again the view across the rolling hills whilst eating and drinking was stunning. If ever this was a unique selling point the hotel should take full advantage with their website photos.

Big praise to the chef for some cracking food and the staff couldn't do enough to look after us when needed. Great to see this Lovely hotel busy after the last 2 tough years with Covid, I would highly recommend a stay to anyone and when you book ask for a room at the front of the hotel, the views from the bedrooms are worth every penny.

Worked up there for about 3 months, they have a dirty kitchen as nothing is washed properly and you'll regularly find dried food in the bottom of plates, pots and pans. Very hazardous place as there are big silver trays stacked up on top of eacher above your head, leaning and waiting to fall. I do NOT recommend this place as its dirty and they overworked me without any pay.

Fantastic experience at the dinner with Santa event this weekend. Staff were supper attentive, excellent food and it was so nice and relaxing to be somewhere where they'd catered for the children so well. The craft table was a huge hit with the kids and the gifts from Santa were brilliant as they'd clearly thought about age ranges in advance. Thoroughly enjoyed it and we're thinking of making it an annual tradition!

I love this hotel! It is super charming and has such a warm feeling, accompanied by a truly kind and gracious staff who go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met. They helped me find the most economical and efficient taxi service as well as made astute recommendations for my needs. I am so grateful to have found such a place. The gym is great - and great to have onsite. I was struck by the family atmosphere permitting the place and staff - feels like home and I left feeling so refreshed. Bed was super comfortable and my room was very quiet.

Ahhh i love this place, i cant not give it 5 stars even though the gravel outside ruined my shoes. I've been here for weddings and nights out and i've even used the gym. In fact, i'm still scarred from the visit after falling off a dodgy running machine and insisting on holding on. Anyway, the last time i was here was for a wedding reception and boy was it beautiful.

For a start to over look the views the manor has to offer in itself are spectacular and then inside was every little girls wedding dream. To say the place looked perfect would be a massive understatement. The rooms here are plush (love that word) but not over the top, the food is lovely and the place uses local produce where ever possible. As i've said, careful with your shoes outside girls because you will sink in the minefield of poxy gravel. Goodbye lovely Dune shoes.

As Sarah has said it is worth checking to see if there's a wedding going on before you decide to book here, wedding parties do tend to take over the whole place. With a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and little gym this beautiful hotel really does seem to have it all, and the toilets were lovely too!

I attended a wedding reception here last year, and stayed over for the night at the hotel. It is situated just outside Crickhowell with stunning views over the black mountains. The hotel has an indoor heated swimming pool as well as sauna, jacuzzi, and steam-pool. It has a number of individually sized bedrooms, my mum and sister stayed in the older part of the hotel and had a huge traditional style bedroom, whilst mine was more modern (and unfortunately smaller). Whilst it was a lovely place to attend a wedding, I'm not sure if I would have wished to have spent a night there if I was not part of the wedding party, as the noise from the disco did tend to spread throughout the hotel.

It may be worth checking before you book if any weddings are scheduled during your planned visit. The food at both the reception and breakfast the next day was excellent and the hotel is very proud of the fact that 80% of their meat and poultry is reared on a family farm just 7 miles away. Whenever possible organic produce is used in the meals, which are simple and unfussy, but cooked well. The manor is a lovely hotel and well worth a visit!
