The Commercial Hotel is situated in the centre of St Just in the heart of West Cornwall. We are a mile from Cape Cornwall, which is a wonderful walk from our hotel. The area is rich in Cornish Heritage, with ancient Celtic sites, hidden coves and close to the popular beaches at Sennen Cove and Porthcurno. The Commercial Hotel makes an ideal base for visitors exploring West Cornwall.
Services
Many of the key locations used in the new BBC TV Series 'Poldark' were filmed very close to The Commercial. In fact the main mining scenes (Botallack) are within walking distance of our B&B. This particular walk can be made from the Commercial Hotel and takes in some of the most stunning coastline in Cornwall.

On arrival, I found the parking convenient. The reception staff very welcoming and accommodating. Room was clean and organised. Vegetarian breakfast was perfectly cooked and a hearty booster for the day. Restaurant staff were very pleasant and adjusting. Co-op right outside to stock up on the snacks and drinks. Great stay and will come again when visiting next time. 10/10.

We stayed in the self-catering cottage in the courtyard. A lovely place to relax after a busy day of being a tourist. Recliner seats were just what was needed. Bed was fine. Mind your head in the bathroom. Kitchen was extremely well equipped. We stayed in March so didn't really have an opportunity to use the garden. When we had an issue with the dishwasher not emptying, it was dealt with immediately. Excellent communications all the way from initial booking. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for having us

Staff all wearing masks and very pleasant and helpful. The food provided was very good quality. Very disappointing to see many guests not wearing masks around the hotel despite posters asking for their cooperation and respect for others. I was told the management could not insist that masks were worn. We had two notices on our booking telling us that the hotel was Covid safe which was ambiguous as it wasn't completely.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the commercial Inn a few weeks ago. All the staff were really helpful breakfast was really good poached eggs were wonder. We both ate in the hotel every night the food was brilliant and curry night well worth indulging in real value for money. The room was really clean and tidy. We would recommend a stay here and will hopefully come back again next year.

Our room was very big with a lovely view over the square and church. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We even had a sea view from our bathroom. We had dinner and breakfast during our stay. Both were freshly cooked and delicious. Staff were very friendly and keen to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you for making our stopover in St Just so pleasant.

Just amazing from start to finish. Lovely warm welcome, super clean lovely room with a view. Able to go down and sit in a lovely garden and have a drink after arriving. Michelle the land lady and her husband were so friendly, I feel like I have known them for years. The bar was very friendly to return to after a night out for a nightcap. Even though on one of our nights stay there was a function on, we did not hear anything and slept so well. The Cornish breakfast is not to be missed, piping hot and delicious. On the basis of this stay, I will defiantly be coming back.

Don't be put off by first impressions this is a delightful pub. The garden is a joy, a beautiful space perfect for basking in the sunshine. We met the gardener and had a lovely chat about the work that has gone in to this space, what a super old-boy he was. Staff were efficient and polite and the beer was great. Happy Days.
