Tor Na Coille Hotel

Afternoon tea, was a lovely treat. We were seated in the bay window and the gentleman that served us was attentive and charming.

Excellent in all ways, staff are considerate, polite and attentive, food is amazing, rooms are lovely, the place oozes character and the area is charming. As perfect a hotel as you could wish for.

We went for lunch with our 2 grandchildren and were chuffed that we did. Everybody enjoyed the food it was very good indeed as was the service. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant, forgot to mention the decor and furnishings are splendid. We will most certainly be back as can't wait to taste the dinner menu, the chef's here have excellent ratings.

Very friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. In walking distance of the town centre. Only gripe was the shower in our room was not very powerful.

We picked the Tor Na Coille for our wedding venue after visiting their stall at the wedding exhibition and a follow up visit to the hotel. We instantly knew it was the venue for us with the exclusive use. package meaning we had the whole hotel to ourselves and our guests. I mainly dealt with Cara for organising everything throughout the various lockdowns we had in 2020/21 and Cara was so easy to deal with and would reply to my various email queries, no matter how small they were.

We were so pleased that our wedding went ahead on the original date and it was absolutely fantastic! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had recently been redecorated and it looked amazing, and with having the exclusive use package it meant we could have the wedding meal in the restaurant which was just perfect! The food was amazing, the rooms were all lovely and we honestly couldn't have picked a better venue! Would definitely recommend the Tor Na Coille to anyone! Thank you! x

We were a bit unsure how today would go. There's always a lot of pressure of the Christmas meal and with covid and all these new restrictions coming in we were all feeling a bit on edge. We were greeted with a warm hello on arrival and seated in a beautiful room. The table laid out with crackers. Party hats and a lovey little gift box to. entertain our little boy.

He was absolutely delighted! The food. what can I say? It was absolutely delicious! The presentation was gorgeous. And the taste was to die for the portion size was fab! Just the right amount to be comfortable without feeling the need to go lie down! Everything was cooked to perfection the meat just melted in your mouth.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Hotel is very stylish, clean and comfortable with a huge comfortable bed and lots of space especially in the bathroom. Food was delicious, we had dinner and breakfast here and all food was very tasty. Service was awesome as well, everyone was very professional but also friendly, we were made to feel welcome. Would definitely stay again.

A nice hotel, staff really friendly and efficient, especially Iain, who at 4 AM had to assemble us outside because of a fire alarm, luckily it wasn't raining and it was only a faulty sensor, really delicious breakfast, porridge with cream, try it. We had a few evening meals whilst we were there and they were all excellent. We stayed in room 2, a bit tired, furniture wise but clean, a comfy bed and a large ensuite and nice views over the countryside. Can highly recommend this hotel, should be 4 star.

Took my mum who used to work here in the early 80s and her friend for a high tea this afternoon, Absolutely stunning, everything was freshly prepared, nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Staff were quick and attentive. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

We were there for a family meal and it was fabulous. The staff were fantastic and the food was phenomenal. We will be back in 6 weeks time for our wedding and we cannot wait. Huge thank you to everyone who made our grandfather's 90th birthday meal special.

Great week away. staff couldn't be more helpful, everything from the amazing breakfast selection, through to their varied dinner menu choices. many of which, we had the pleasure to have sampled! The rooms are cozy and very comfortable. we will definitely be back!

Just back from a couple of nights away at this hotel. Had a lovely time the hotel was pristine and the staff helpful and friendly. Even with all the restrictions in place it didn't spoil our stay and I felt very safe.

This restaurant was in a hotel in Banchory. My co worker who is a local to Aberdeen took us to this restaurant for our Christmas dinner. I was really glad that he selected this restaurant. It's about 20 minutes from Aberdeen, the hotel is beautiful, it felt so romantic yet full of history. We went and waited in a waiting room and enjoyed our cocktails by the fire.

The service was also fantastic and I tried a local cocktail mix called Bramble. We were then showed to our table and the dining area was beautiful. I asked the waitress to help me select a traditional Scottish dinner and we assembled my 3 course meal. Appetizer, main course and dessert. I was in heaven. Loved my food experience. This place is an experience the food, ambience, drink, service. It's picturesque. I will definitely recommend and if I ever find myself in this part of the world. I will definitely be back.
