Staff were lovely bed was comfortable too room was clean doors just need a wee paint

Lovely hotel but very quiet due to the fact they have stopped serving meals the atmosphere has gone from it

Great dog friendly place. Staff very friendly and outdoor balcony great. 2 for 1 cocktails Saturdays, food served not tried as had other plans.

Super friendly service team Coffee and breakfast rolls are great

Good food with friendly staff. Just a shame food stops being served at 8 and the bar closes at 9 ( not sure about the bothy) but generally a friendly place well priced

Just in for lunch and drinks today, every time we go, which is a lot! Food is delicious staff are lovely, great service, had a couple of delicious cocktails today too!

Lovely place for a dinner and drinks (or just drinks, as we had on a previous night). Good choice on the menu - we opted for the Sunday roast and it was incredible; one of the best I've ever had. Everything on the plate was perfect and the gravy was amazing. The Cullen skink is also worth ordering - delicious. The service was prompt and friendly, the prices were great - under 10 for a gin and a pint. We'll definitely come back!

Love this Hotel. Great staff and great food. Menu slightly limited during off season but still worth a visit.

Below average for pub grub battered haddock was overcooked and definitely not fresh it looked ok on arrival but taste was very disappointing. Wouldn't recommend

We had a lovely meal outside in the beer garden tonight. Excellent food and even better service especially towards Arlo our border collie! A must if your in banchory, never felt so welcome especially with having a dog. Thanks again, woof from Arlo

Some of the best food! Such friendly hosts and so understanding. Room was fine for a family of 4! Overall a great stay, would recommend to anyone in the Banchory area

We spent an hour here on a really sunny day, the friendly staff suggested that we might like to sit outside in the sun and served our drinks there, so pleased that we did, most enjoyable.

We stopped here for a quick lunch bite. It was a really pleasant surprise! The food was really, really good and the perfect portion size. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They have a really nice outdoor balcony so we enjoyed our food with some Scottish sunshine!

The food was nice. Lovely lunch menu. The only grumble I have was the rotten songs playing. A 90s playlist by the Corrs and Shania Twain and some other 90s one hit wonders. Also I must add, I went to the ladies before we left and it seemed very much like non customers were sneaking in through the back open door to use the toilets. The place wasn't busy when I was in, but the toilets were very busy!?

We had lunch and the food was magic. We had soup sandwiches/wraps and they were lovely. Just a perfect treat. We will definitely be back.

Wow, am I glad we chose this place to grab lunch. It was dark and raining, flood warnings everywhere, we were some of the only foolish people to be out! It was their out door fairy lights that won the decision for me if I'm honest. Not knowing the town at all it was a case of a lucky guess with where to eat, and I'm so glad we did. The place was deserted!

The staff seemed delighted to have something to do. Not the businesses fault.as I mentioned.flood warnings! Actually the next day Banchory was closed :o Now, I grew up on the coast, and I think this might be the best fish and chips I've ever had! My goodness! The thick batter was just out of this world, and the handout chips, while sparse, where utter perfection.

The deserts were also remarkable. Although I think the blueberry cheesecake won, on taste and decoration. Blueberry sorbet! A new thing I now need in my life on a more regular basis. The staff were delightful, chatty and helpful. The decor was quite upmarket with some wonderful prints of highland cows and deer on the walls. I am so pleased we stopped off here before heading home, I can't recommend it enough :D
