Being a former Victorian hunting lodge, built in 1746, Gairnshiel Lodge has been a longtime favorite of royals, hunters and travelers alike. Two hundred seventy years later, we - a Belgian family that fell in love with the idyllic Scottish Highlands - discovered the lodge. The most distinctive feature of Scotland's history is probably that of clanship and the predominantly Highland clans. It's in our blood and history to bring people together. With an eye for timeless design, we try to collect stories.

Gairnshiel Lodge features luxurious facilities for you and your company to enjoy. Calm, transient interiors and rigorous attention to detail ensure that you will have everything you need for a home-away-from-home comfort. Multiple spaces to relax, including dining/meeting room, living room, reading room, games room and sauna.
Become part of the Gairnshiel family. At the moment we're looking for a full-time Housekeeper and Houseman couple for a commercial household. Housekeepers will ensure the house is always clean, neat, tidy and welcoming. They may also undertake some light outdoor duties such putting out rubbish for collection.
All our 9 bedrooms are unique but feature the same amenities. Every bedroom at Gairnshiel Lodge has an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, two rooms have a bathtub. King-sized beds (that we can arrange as twin beds) with percale bed linen. Our toiletries are from Honest Skincare, they are organic, ethical and handmade in Birmingham.
Two of the best hiking trails of the park are only half an hour drive away from the Lodge. Thanks to its unique location, you can start for an unforgettable hike from the Lodge to our lunch hut (1:30) where a drink and BBQ can be served. The Highlands are a top destination for mountain bikers. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, the Cairngorms National Park offers a sheer unlimited amount of trails.
