Clifton No Smoking Hotel

Had a lovely 4 night stay, accommodation was clean and tidy and everything you need when away from home, Freda couldn't be more helpful and our requirements of Vegan breakfast was perfectly catered for and really lovely. Good old fashioned service and a real care that you were well looked after. For us Paignton was a base and we travelled to Exmoth, Dawlish, Torquay, Goodrington, Cockington and Totnes mostly by train otherwise by foot, never moved the car once. Easy parking too. Very enjoyable overall

What a lovely couple freda and Steve made us very welcome the breakfast was great the room was lovely and clean comfy bed nothing to much trouble will definitely recommend and we will be returning

Very comfortable place made us feel at home and welcome as soon as we got through the door made us a pot of tea straight away you don't get that leval of service in many places friendly hosts would definitely stay again and would recommend this place

We spent a few days at the Clifton at Paignton. what a lovely find the Proprietors Freda & Steve where lovely made us very welcome nothing was to much trouble. The food was super cooked by the chef Steve. Rooms where very comfortably. A bar in the lounge. another bonus was Adults Only.

Great place to stay very convenient less than 5 mins walk to beach and pier. Friendly service, good food, clean and comfortable room. Try Steve's homemade marmalades and evening meals, sweets were delicious.

Absolutely amazing experience with the owners here. I only stayed one night for the Torbay Airshow display 2019. I had lost my credit cards and cash on the train, yet I wasn't shone away. Freda and Steve gladly welcomed me into the hotel and made sure I was well looked after. Great hospitality - you can expect very good service here!
