Lovely place, breakfast lovely and room clean everything you need and owners nice people.

Hotel is clean hosts are friendly and very helpful breakfast is to die for known them for over thirty years excellent staff.

Clean and comfortable with friendly proprietors. Good value for money. Covid response was sensible and considerate without being over-the-top. My only suggestion would be to extend the time of the breakfast serving (currently only thirty minutes) as there was a rather a long wait to be served one morning.

Stayed in room 9 for 4 nights in June 2021. A lovely big airy room with a high ceiling and no less than 3 beds! The bathroom is very dated and suffers from a common issue in older hotels like this one - very poor water pressure. The shower really is little more than a dribble which makes washing long hair a no-no. However, the hotel is in a very quiet location, a 5 minute walk from the harbour & the esplanade.

The staff are all lovely and the breakfast is to die for! I would be happy to return next time I'm in the area and, if the shower can be improved when the room is next renovated / decorated, it would get 5 stars from me! A dab of polish on the (very high) curtain tracks would make the curtains much easier to open & close :o)

Small en suite double room but with a balcony (table and two chairs) and fabulous views over Torbay with Tirquay in the distance. Close proximity to sea front and pier, and the station is only a 15 minute walk away. Wonderful breakfast with big choice of items and no limit to how much you can eat. Really friendly welcome and service from our hosts.

Will definitely consider a return visit. P.S. #4 restaurant in Paignton just 5 minutes down the hill: TJ's. Lovely view overlooking the harbour. Fantastic food (freshly caught fish), but it's very popular, so you have to book at least a day in advance.

Still here it's a lovely hotel good breakfast big room plenty of space. Friendly owners

Food was good apart from hashbrowns very plain. Room no.9 clean but shower pressure extremely weak. Bedding old fashioned and uncomfortable. Windows clatter and you can hear room no.7 water running under your bed however lovely people and nice cleaners but you don't have a "do not disturb" when cleaners just walk in when you are out but good do u recommend. No

Brilliant stay at this hotel. Host's are friendly & very helpful, the breakfast is exceptional. The hotel is clean & is ideally situated to the harbour & other amenities. Would recommend this hotel.

Best staff and customer service, good breakfast. Some modern touches like a Smart TV but old pipes making lots of noise all day and night in my room. Very low pressure shower not ideal for really long hair.

Lovely big clean room, social distancing all in place. David and Carole are lovely ppl. Breakfast was massive and well cooked, fabulous choice. The shower pressure was low, but we managed fine

My family and i have been to Carole and Davids hotel many times over the years and have always had a pleasant experience throughout our stay, they really do go the extra mile to insure everyones having a lovely time. The rooms are perfect & the breakfast is superb, just what you want before a day of exploring the local area.
