Channel View

I stayed at the channel view boutique for the weekend, I must from the time we arrived I was very impressed with the location and the hotel, they made us very welcome from the start. The hotel is very well decorated and also very clean, we stayed in one of the suites which is very well presented and a pleasure to stay in. The view from the balcony was a pleasure to look at. I would recommend the channel view to anyone, I would certainly stay there again.

We had a lovely two night stay, room and the rest of the hotel immaculate. Peter and Ruth very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very comfortable, with the memory foam bed and goose down pillows, I had the best nights sleep as usually I wake up with either back or neck ache, when we're away. We ate in the hotel both evenings and the food was good quality and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making my birthday trip away a good one.

We experienced an amazing evening meal last night "valentines" Peter & Ruth were the perfect hosts & compliments to the chef. We live local so do not need to stay but would thoroughly recommend as we are sure service would b excellent & we wil b returning again as often passing & wil recommend to friends & family that live away Judy & Chris thomas

Lovely place. Owner showed us some rooms very nice Lovely decor. Only stayed for coffee and homemade cake delicious. Intend to go back and try thr Bistro soon.

Fantastic short break at this lovely hotel. Very welcoming hosts, fantastic rooms, superb views and delicious breakfasts. Couldn't have asked for better - thanks Peter and Ruth! Particularly grateful for the care taken to ensure our health / safety during the global pandemic. We look forward to returning soon and will be recommending to friends / family.

Ideal location right on the seafront, excellent 4 star hotel, with parking. Family run by Peter and Ruth, who really look after you. Wonderful food. Covid aware site, with everything in place to help ensure your stay is both a healthy and happy one. Highly recommend. Went there to rest up and unwind - our stay at Channel View was just what we needed. Well deserved five stars Peter and Ruth. Thankyou so much.

We have just returned from a five night stay at the Channel View Hotel in Paignton, Devon. We stayed in room six which had a bedroom, bathroom and small living room with a balcony with a sea view. It wasexceptionally clean and tastefully furnished and well appointed with a kettle for tea and a coffee machine. Homemade biscuits were refilled daily.

The hosts Peter and Ruth could not have been nicer, and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Due to Covid extra precautions were in place - We were given our check in time prior to our arrival and were advised before hand to wear face-masks. On arrival our temperature was taken and we were given hand sanitiser. During our stay masks are requested to be worn in public areas unless you were seated.

This was the same for all the restaurants and pubs we visited. Breakfast was served in two sessions to comply with social distancing and I must say there was a great selection to choose from. The home made Greek yogurt and granola was especially delicious. Like so many of the hospitality businesses there is a shortageof staff and The hotel was running on a staff of 3 people.

We did not notice a decline in the service despite this. We would definitely stay here again especially as there is a Chef due to begin work so evening meals will be available. It will be a lovely place to have a drink and a meal overlooking the seafront. As the sign in the lounge says you arrive as guest but leave as friend.

This is the most wonderful family run hotel I have ever had the pleasure of returning to. We are the sort of people who if we didn't like something we would never go back. Next year will be our fourth visit, and will not be the last. Rooms are second to none. High quality bedding and rooms. Locally sauced products for meals. Ruth and Peter are amazing hosts, as we as friends now. The views are amazing. There is nothing more I could wish for.

Fantastic! The hotel is in a very quiet easy to get to location, adults only. Lots of parking space and right by the sea. The owners Peter and Ruth are very friendly, and always making sure everybody is happy with their stay. Rooms are nice and well equipped. The breakfast everything you could want, the fried breakfasts are massive and set you up for the day. Would definately recommend staying here, and will stay again next time we are down that way.

Beautifully designed room. The view from the room is amazing. We Stayed in September last year because we were made to feel safe and welcome. Peter and Ruth care about their business and it shows in all aspects of the hotel down to the finest detail. We just got back today and are considering having our honeymoon here in August
