An excellent Sunday lunch, fresh and very generously sized. One of the best lunches we have recently had. And very dog friendly too!

An old sort of place that creaks like a pirate ship, but the staff are friendly and despite its age, is clean enough and pretty well kept. Good low cost option for a flying visit.

Called in for breakfast. Lovely full English, service was excellent. Only downside was half a cup of coffee for 2.50 so wouldn't recommend ordering a flat white, .

The room was ok with own bathroom, However it took 3hrs to have a bath due to no cold water as tap was not running any water at all, burnt my feet trying to get in water, breakfast was an odd food combination, I love mushrooms but couldn't eat them as they were cooked in garlic and did not compliment the bacon eggs and beans at all so not a great breakfast for us

Everybody was very friendly and the staff cared for our needs brilliantly. Nothing was too much trouble and the dog was thoroughly spoilt. The dog friendly room off the car park was excellent for our dog and very warm and comfortable. We didn't have any problems parking even when we returned late at night.

Be aware that although they advertise on site parking there is very limited space and not enough for the entire hotel. Should you visit on a busy Chepstow race day and not get there early enough then be prepared to have to use a nearby public car park. This then presents an additional problem that maximum park time is only 4 hours and you cannot pay for a full days parking, meaning that you will need to visit the car park every 4 hours and swap the car to another car park and then repeat the process.

The rooms felt a bit cramped and I found the bone chandeliers peculiar. The staff fixed an issue with bed sheets, which was nice. I loved the flowers at the entrance. I would probably not go again, as I personally prefer more open rooms but they did a great job with the space they had been given.

1st night issues with broken radiator valve not turning off or able to fix. Also window needed support with waste bin to stay open to get enough fresh cool air. Breakfast wS good and plenty, but restaurant was closed in the evenings without notice. Parking was terrible and restricted to around 7 vehicles only. The staff were friendly, but the owner was ignorant and chose not to introduce or welcome guests. :/
