My first time at the Greyhound, but a return to a family favourite pub for my partner, his sister and brother-in-law. They used to take their parents there 40 years ago! Lovely outside seating areas added, loved the flat caps on the friendly staff and the food was fab! Toilets lovely and clean too. Will go again!

We had a nice stay. One of our party fell over in the grounds. The staff were very helpful. Their breakfast was taken to the room as they were still a bit shaky. The room was comfortable nice bathroom and we enjoyed the Welsh cakes. There was a very good selection of drinks in the room The dogs loved the doggy park and their doggy sausage after. We would stay again if in the area.

Very pleasant lunch for four, relaxing venue with good but not intrusive service; tables not too close inside so it felt quite airy/socially-distanced;) and lovely-looking spaces outside. Food was good - startwr+main = too full to sample dessert - my steak & kidney pot pie was tasty (personally I prefer more kidney but that's quite a personal thing), chips were fresh & excellent and Abbot ale was good. Very good overall & already plan to return :)

We had a great night at this amazing place they have spent a lots of money doing out door paths, patio and setting. We all recommend it. They have a very large dog area in the field at the back and lodes of room for kids to run a round. I don't see any kids play stuff. It's a old pub with a very big new patio. Very nicely done. P.S use the main roads not the country line's! It's very far from Cardiff!

Just drove all this way to make use of the doggy play paddock while having a pint in the sun. it states online that they understand the importance of letting dogs socialise and we were of the impression it was a safe environment for our dog to run free and play with others. We turned up where there was a woman using the paddock to train a dog (with what I can only assume the owners were present too) she approached us before we even entered and told us "I am training a reactive dog in here so you must keep your distance and keep your dog on a lead" Basically defeating the whole bloody purpose of the place. Complete waste of time!

This place was recommended to us as staying in Usk. So glad we stumbled across it. What a fabulous place. It's very Dog friendly even having its own fenced in Agility field with Picnic Tables for the owners. Inside its warm & cosy & smells amazing with the open fires. The outside seating area where we sat had lovely furniture & electric heaters so was great.
The staff in their Old fashioned Uniforms were all friendly especially to the dogs, bringing them treats & water & all very polite & helpful. Sunday Lunch was amazing, best we've had

A delightful country pub, literally in the middle of nowhere. But close enough to Usk. Walking in the first thing to notice is the quite small bar area with a warming fire and adjoining dinning room. Then on the bar Abbot, Bass and Butty Bach. Heaven! The 5 of us had the single table in another room. I won't describe the table, just go and see it.
The food was great. I had the Steak & Ale pie which was superb, with a top to do it justice. The others were just as good, with all plates cleared, completely. We will be going back.

Went here for dinner last night upon the recommendation of a friend. Where do I start? It's a beautiful place, so quaint and the grounds are stunning! A wonderfully warm welcome when we walked in. The food was incredible and the service was attentive but not invasive. Very reasonably priced too. I cannot wait to go back and next time I'm bringing the dogs for the doggy play paddock out back! You must visit this beautiful pub and restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

Love this place, Kelly, Steve and the team never disappoint, great atmosphere, warm welcoming, good food and truly dog friendly accommodation. This is the second time we have stayed at the Greyhound Inn, this time for two nights and won't be the last. Since our last visit they have added a secure dog activity field which was brilliant for our dogs, and a lovely decked out seating area.
Great breakfast selection including vegetarian and if you take your dogs they are also welcome to join you in the breakfast area, and even given their own doggy sausage. Got to also recommend the Sea Bass, served with mash potato & mediterranean vegetables, absolutely wonderful, flavoursome and a generous portion.
