Hired a mobility scooter here today, and had a pre-trek coffee and toasted teacake, and a post-trek sandwich, drink, dessert and tea. All very pleasant in the Orangery. Scooter (Tramper) hire went smoothly and we both enjoyed the trek through the glorious woods to a nearby lake.

Walked in for lunch, no one to greet us. Sat ourselves at table, had to ask for menus, not a great start at all. Ordered a Sandwich with cheesy chips, 2 drinks. Food arrived eventually. Cheesy chips had no cheese on but a tepid floury white sauce on 4 of them, still no drinks, asked the waitress to take the terrible chips off the bill as they were hideous, she rolled her eyes, still no drinks. Overall a shocking lunch, less than average food and service appalling. Will not be returning in a hurry.

We stayed here ahead of a Funeral with the Wake at Speech House the following day. The hotel we're experiencing a challenging situation {not of their making} & did an amazing job of continuing with Service with a smile of their face! It might have been a grimace behind the scenes but in front us they were calm under considerable pressure. They could not have been more helpful during the Wake. I found the team friendly, kind & attentive. You're in safe hands.

Over the road from the forest. Of Dean. Lovely staff easy parking the food was excellent and the room was clean comfortable and warm. If you are expecting to be hiking and tired maybe ask for a room low down or one of rooms around the back (set around the car park) rather than on the top floor like we did. The stairs up to our room in the top of the building were a bit. Of a slog after a. Long day. But I would reccomend.

We had Afternoon Tea here as a treat. It was the nicest iv had, the staff were lovely and went to the trouble of preparing two separate lots for us as I'm a vegetarian. Very nice food in a lovely bright orangery

Food venue and service very good in the Orangery, just could have done without the proclaimers singing Jolene from room 32, whilst trying to sleep. Breakfast was really good food, very tasty, service needs improvement.

I visited for a wedding and had the most amazing stay! The rooms are lovely. The service is friendly and efficient. This place is perfectly located for the Wye Valley and The Cotswolds. It has an incredible history which is worth asking about while you stay. Lovely gardens and great food. I especially loved our room with its four poster bed. Highly, highly recommended!
