The food from this place is absolutely incredible, but it's just such a shame that the wait times are so long. Been here twice and was the same both times, waiting for approx 45 minutes between meals after finishing them. Staff are really lovely and friendly.

Booked a table for food on a Saturday afternoon at 5pm. Place appeared quiet as there were lots of empty tables. Staff initially seemed attentive but overall found service very poor. Watched my drink waiting on the bar for 5mins! Food was good quality but overpriced for what was basically a kebab and burger. Once we had our food, we weren't offered any more drinks or desert menu. Had to go up to the bar to request to pay and had to wait and ask several times!

Manager Janine and her young staff didn't seem to care much about customer service. The male staff member who initially waited on us never returned to us after the initial food order and was more interested in chatting to his colleagues, telling us how super busy he was or telling Janine off for the computer systems going down. Not a good place for locals to go which is a real shame.

We were originally booked to stay for one night. We were so relaxed, we booked for a second night. The room was spotlessly clean. The bed, mattress and pillows were perfect. In fact my husband and myself had the best two nights sleep we've had for a very long time.

Stayed for a night en route to a family event. Lovely room, freshly decorated. Had a very nice and reasonably priced evening meal at the pub. Also had the English cooked breakfast which was cooked to order and should not be missed.

Food took a very long time to come out. When we asked we were told they were doing their best but they had a table of 30 over there and a table of 10 over there. I pointed out that they were there when we came in we should have at least been pre warned of length of weight. Felt like it feel on deaf ears. Food was OK but nothing special.

Modern and well appointed rooms, a really comfortable stay! The walk back to the hotel from Chepstow is rather steep, so either be prepared for the walk or consider a taxi. Nice late checkout, and excellent service from staff. I'll definitely be back!

Very poor experience. Food took more than 90 minutes to arrive at the table, and when it did, was not hot. Seemed that other customers were were also disappointed with the service. Many items on menu unavailable, felt sorry for the waitress each time she had to come to let us know. Definitely room for improvement with regards to supply chain issues, leadership within the restaurant and the customer service.

Brilliant place. Food, drink & staff all excellent. Bit of a "blip" with slow service when we first got there but we arrived during Staff changeover.so no big deal. I'm a wheelchair user and access to all areas was excellent. Although, as in most pubs, the disabled toilet facilities were excellent.but the doors into them are thick heavy and wooden and almost impossible to open & close without a carer/helper with you.

This has changed to a nicer eatery should i say. Decor and feel good factor of the restaurant is perfect, along with the food being top notch. They got the taste right with the Korean flavouring on the chicken, and the angus burger, safe to say, that ticks the box. Look forward to returning for indoors & outdoors drinks/dining.

Been for the first time in a quite a few months, and have been very impressed. Food was amazing and can not fault it at all. It was all hot and very tasty. Definitely be back again!

Had a lovely family Christmas meal today food was amazing and all fresh friendly staff will definitely book again

Staying here for a wedding locally. Hotel spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds, room we'll set out with tea/coffee facilities. Ate in the restaurant last night, food was good and plenty of it with quick attentive service. No complaints.

After a 2hr wait and had to say l was Diabetic just to get our Meal. We received our Meals which l have to say was shocking!.Everything was overcooked and drier than the Sahara Desert!.was offered another. alternative and opted for the Jacket Potato which would've made holes in the wall if you threw it!.My Husband only ate his as he was starving but said one of the Worst he, s had and can eat anything.was offered no discount or recompense even though We complained and to be fair the Staff were nice even if the Uniforms were shoddy!.Absolutely would NOT recommend this place for Food!

Extremely helpful staff, went above and beyond for our family! The food was as brilliant as the service throughout our entire stay here. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom and room. Bar area very inviting. Didn't want to leave, best service we've had in a long time. Highly recommended!

It's a lovely pub, staff are very warm & welcoming. the food is really good would recommend to anyone, we had the Christmas festive menu tonight & it was amazing

Staff was respect, polite and friendly. OMG - Foods/pudding was over excellent. Fab environment. Beautiful view.

Clean room and great food. Shame we ended the evening being verbally abused by a table load of Irish Travellers who insisted on playing shite on their mobile phones really loudly and became very agressive when politly asked to turn down the noise. Evening ruined.
