Meare Manor was originally the summer residence for the abbots of Glastonbury Abbey and is mentioned in the exibition at the abbey. Rebuilt in 1802 and fully renovated in 2001, Meare Manor - now a four star guest house - is located in the heart of the Somerset countryside. Excellent hotel. Very tidy. Warm inside. Lovely decor. Graham our host was extremely nice, friendly and welcoming person. Tasty breakfast in the morning, super service. The best marmalade on toast ever! We will be back!

Spent 2 lovely days here. The house itself is nice and the hosts are very welcoming. Breakfast was superb! Great location for Glastonbury, Cheddar and Wells

Comfortable and spacious room with usb ports and ample sockets. Good size bathroom let down by poor water pressure, especially on the wash hand basins where the taps are fitted so close that it is difficult getting hands under water flow. A small blip in an otherwise excellent stay with very good breakfasts and friendly hosts.

I stayed at Meare Manor 2 weekends and had a brilliant stay both times! The owners are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are lovely and the breakfast is very nice.

Hi. We stayed at meare manor, our room was very clean and tidy it had everything you needed for a short stay the bed was very comfortable we both slept very well and the breakfast was perfect you couldn't ask for more and Graham & sue were wonderful they were very helpful and a very lovely couple. Would definitely stay again.

Recently stayed here with my daughters and the manor was lovely. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Staff are fantastic and so helpful. The breakfast was amazing

Lovely place. Very relaxing and all covid mitigation really well thought out. We had a really great stay and were made to feel very welcome. Rooms were warm and comfortable, breakfast was hot and delicious. I can't recommend Meare Manor enough and look forward to staying again.

Very nice place, ample parking, very quiet at night, rooms spacious clean and tastefully appointed, we had an over-bath shower which wasn't brilliant but I can see that some people might want a bath. Breakfast was nice and didn't take long to arrive, plenty of choice. Friendly owners and staff. All good really!

Was originally the retreat for the Bishop of Glastonbury good heating and plumbing. Breakfast very good with a wide choice. Staff very friendly and a number of nature reserves nearby. Unfortunately the bar was closed, smoking area in garden not covered or heated.
