Services
All our rooms are well appointed with tea/coffee making facilities, en-suite bathrooms, hairdryers, flat screen TVs, and complimentary WiFi. Standard Double/Twin and Single rooms have small en-suite bathrooms and are on the first or second floor of the Hotel. Superior rooms are larger in size and feature Four Poster beds, larger en-suite bathrooms, and are located on the ground or first floor.
A maximum of 2 dogs per room - which must be no larger than medium size dogs, please. All dogs must be well behaved and trained. As much as we are pet friendly, not all guests are, so we do not allow dogs in the restaurant at breakfast - so please respect other guests. However, providing they can be well behaved, they can be left in the room for that short period.
Whitby is a quaint fishing town, unspoilt by time. Amongst it's winding, cobbled streets and fascinating shops, you will find handmade local crafts, such as jewellery fashioned from the famous Whitby Jet, Victorian photographs by Frank Meadow Sutcliffe depicting life in Whitby in bygone days, and art galleries displaying original works.

I had an absolutely lovely time at Arundel House. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable. The windows are very soundproof which is good as there is a main road close by. The hotel is perfectly located as it is a short 5 minute walk into the centre. Bus stops are very close to take you around the area and the railway station and main bus depot close by. Breakfast is served promptly and are excellently generous portions. I highly recommend.

Myself and my partner booked a last minute trip to this hotel/ Whitby at the weekend and we had the most wonderful experience. The hosts could not have been friendlier and more helpful and we are still dreaming about the breakfast they put on for us. We stayed in the Freeman room and couldn't wish for better- so clean and the comfiest bed we have ever slept in. We'll definitely be back soon and thank you again.

We could not fault anything. Such a wonderful clean, residence with excellent customer care, wonderful breakfasts freshly cooked Definitely returning. Only problem travel light if you are unable to lift heavy suitcases and also be aware there is limited parking, we managed to find a space as we arrived nearby on the roadside FOC Many thanks to all at Arundel House Dee and Debbie
