Great accommodation and friendly staff. I lived here for 2 days. My room was very spacious, clean and also had a balcony with beautiful view. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We also had breakfast included. Now coming to the best part, you get free cat patting at the hotel if you're an animal lover;

Good location friendly staff great sea view but for a 5 star expected a little more.the room was clean nice bathroom comfy bed but the room was very basic no bedside tables no lamps the light was too bright it was just an upside down spot light fixed to the wall would stay again if the room was a bit more modern and cosy and the breakfast no juice was offered and the fruit and yoghurts were poor but the cooked breakfast was good

Great location our room had a great view over the sea. Room was clean and comfortable, shower was good and the room was warm (a bit too warm, but you could turn the radiators down so no complaints there) Breakfast was not what we expected. Don't get me wrong the full English was of good quality and enjoyable. However it does say fruit and yoghurt.
A couple of bananas and pots of yoghurt was not what we expected as this is a 4 star guest house. No fruit juice offered unless you asked and you got a mini carton with the straw attached. Again not what we expected in a 4 star. We didn't find the welcome particularly warm. No pleasantries, very formal. Just given key to the room and told where it was.
We're not fussy people but we do expect a certain level when it's 4 star. This establishment is not 4 star, I would say 3 star and only a 4 in the hygiene rating. Also our room was not cleaned i.e. bins emptied tea/coffee/milk replenished. Suffice it to say we won't be returning to this establishment, however we will be returning to Whitby.

Friendly hotel with fabulous breakfasts and either a great view of the sea (especially at breakfast) or of the cricket pitch at rear. Our room had the cricket and a lovely balcony to sit out and watch from. Room was huge, clean and tidy. Reasonable room prices. Staff friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble.

The hotel is spotless the staff are very welcoming and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast menu is great with quality food. Location wise is perfect just far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk. Myself and my friend stayed in room 10 which had a nice view of the sea. It was my friends second stay there but my first. I will be going back

We have recently had a 2 night stay here, we stayed in room 3 which offered a fabulous sea view. The location was good, 15-20 minute walk to the town. Room was very clean and we received a warm welcome. Breakfast was nice and of good quality. The only feedback I would give to improve this property would be to think about getting black out blinds/curtains for the bedrooms. The dining room and lounge lack atmosphere. We wouldn't spend much time in either even if we wanted to. Overall a pleasant place to stay.
