Its towering mountains and majestic sea cliffs were ravaged and shaped by the glaziers that once covered this island. Here you can walk free and enjoy all that wild nature has to offer from the soaring eagles, hen harriers and merlin to the magnificent red stags and the mountain hare.

I called asking if they would have a table for 2 available. I didn't have the time to specify the hour. The lady directly told me to come as soon as i can without telling us anything else. We arrive at 8:10pm to be told that the kitchen closed at 8pm. We haven't had a proper meal for the whole day so we asked if we could even buy something cold like a salad.
The lady at the bar just smiled and said no. She seemed to find it funny. This was disrespectful and not professional. On top of that we are still in the middle of a pandemic and she wasn't wearing a mask, just like some customers rooming around. In any case after reading some of the other reviews, it seems that we better be fasting than eating there.

Unacceptable and disrespectful. A shame for the restaurant industry. 1 star is already overrated, disappointed I can't put less. We called to know if they had a table but the person on the phone didn't mention they were closing (at this time we could have gone to something closer & better quality), we arrived after the kitchen was closed. We asked for any food that they could serve as we barely ate the whole day.
The only thing we got was a disgraceful smile. Not even a bit of empathy. I would expect more from a human being, and even more considering that this person is working in the restaurant/hotel industry. Really telling me you have no bread for the breakfast of the people staying in your hotel?

We stayed one night here and regretted it. The bar seating outside was lovely- except the ground was covered in animal turds. There are wild sheep roaming- but there is no excuse for not cleaning up regularly. The views are wonderful. We'd heard the food was good- and the scallops did look lovely but by the time we got ready for dinner (they stop serving at 2030) the specials were all gone and the menu is Pretty restricted- average macaroni cheese, fish and chips or a burger.
Not much fresh local food! The bar didn't have much atmosphere. The stair and corridors were dated and smelt a little- but the room was ok- it was clean and whilst the shower looked like a retrofit it was warm and powerful. Breakfast was mediocre. The Aussie girl working there was lovely though and actually it was very cheap- about 120 for dinner, bed and breakfast including two drinks. Perhaps a place for a functional stop but I'd be disappointed if this was tbe focus of a much waited for holiday.

We drove and drove and drove. Thought I'd see a dinosaur before I saw a restaurant. This place was like a vision sent from above. I ordered a burger and it was pretty good. Came on a floury bap. They have good whisky and cold beer. I was on the fence between three and four stars until over the sound system I heard a bagpipe cover version of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing". Easy enough.

The last real stop on the road to Fionnphort (and therefore, Iona - where most people are heading) - the building doesn't actually scream at you to come in from the road - it looks a bit dated and tatty from some angles. I persevered, and I was greeted by a really nice lady at reception, who led us into the dining area. The choice was fairly average bar type food (burgers, pasta) - with a few seafood options (we are on an island, after all!).
It was all well cooked and nicely presented. Bar prices on the steep side though - but expected as we are on the bottom end of Mull in the middle of nowhere. All in all I was satisfied.
