I imagine others just come here for the drinks and view like we did. The staff is friendly but food is not good. We got the shrimp trio with pimento grits. Shrimp was fine. The spicy orange marmalade that comes with it just doesn't pair well with anything. We asked for cocktail sauce and aioli on the side which tasted much better with the shrimp! The pimento grits were cold and gross.

Their side of fruit was literally canned fruit. Nice spot to visit if you can get a patio seat with ocean view. Grab a cheap meal to share and drinks like we did. If you know and enjoy quality seafood I wouldn't come here hungry (or at all). But it checked the box on our ocean view dining!

Ocean front views are killer. Extensive frozen drinks menu that's very creative and fun, and a cocktails menu that's wide ranging and tropical feeling. Fried pickles rock. Surprisingly good salads for a seafood joint. Excellent fries. The soft shelled crab sandwich - not on the menu but available in season - was amazing. A little loud, but worth it for the outdoor seating and views.

We visited Coconut Joe's on a Saturday early afternoon, after being recommended it from a fellow beachgoer - and we're so glad we went! This was our FAVORITE place we ate on the entire 6 day trip. We ordered drinks from the bar while we waited for a table, and the drinks were super good - delicious and enough of a kick to be worth the $. I had the Parrot Colada - yumm!

We ordered coconut shrimp, crab cakes, and their bbq shrimp nachos and enjoyed EVERY BITE! This place is worth the visit if you're anywhere in the area - I don't know if I planned on traveling back to Isle of Palms, but I would come back just for this food.

Angela killed it! She kept our drinks full, and even recommended some awesome new drinks to try out! The GM Jakari came to check in on us, good choice of live music. Perfect spot for a afternoon drink with good eats

Pina colada and Beach Burgers were so delicious! Nachos with chicken, pineapple, Queso and jalapeno is a must! Large tasty burgers especially the Carolina Burger. Large portions and you will not leave hungry! Beach view with inside and outside seating available. Small bar inside as well.

I was in Charleston for business and decided to venture to Isle of Palms. I had vacationed there with family many years ago and wanted to see it again. I found this gem while there. I imagine in the summer it is jam packed, but in February there was just a small group. Great service, friendly staff. I had a mix of dry rub lemon pepper and Old Bay seasoned wings. So so good! Would love to return in the summer!

The food is pretty good, especially the shrimp and grits. This place must see many tourists. Great bar views and decent cocktails. Ocean view.

Excellent place! Has cool swings outside where you can relax and swing waiting for a table. Ocean view. You can sit inside or outside and look down at the ocean. Fast and friendly staff. The coconut shrimp and fried pickles are off the chain! Definitely go to this place if you have the chance. You are missing out on a great time if you don't.

We recently vacationed in Charleston and drove down to Isle of Palms for an afternoon. Coconut Joe's was great! We had a bit of a wait, but that was expected since we were there at peak dinner hours. We were able to walk down to the beach using the public beach access from the restaurant until a table was available, which was a plus. The service was excellent.

The food was great. We ordered the shrimp nachos appetizer and they were incredible. I ordered shrimp and grits, my husband ordered a shrimp Po boy, my kids ordered grilled cheese sandwiches. We were all pleased with our meals. The live music and views from the roof top were awesome. Definitely recommend!
