Services
Alladale has four lodges for exclusive use groups. Choose from the comfortable Victorian 'home from home' Alladale Lodge, our two catered lodges Eagles Crag and Ghillies Rest or be more adventurous and stay at Deanich Lodge, our only self-catered option and probably one of the most remote buildings in Britain.
Alladale Wilderness Reserve's 100 square kilometers of rugged mountains, forests, rivers and lochs are located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, just 1 hour north of Inverness. The Reserve is easily accessible via road, via the well maintained A9 along the east coast towards Tain. Our four lodges offer a variety of unparalleled experiences that allow guests to unwind and relax in a space more akin to your own home than a hotel.
Tip: in Ardgay, turn your sat nav off! You will lose your mobile phone signal after Ardgay, so please call the Lodge and let us know you are on your way. In Ardgay, turn left onto the minor road by the Kyle of Sutherland Fisheries and after about a mile you will cross the River Carron, where you should follow the road to Croick Church.
Alladale's chef Natasha Buttigieg produces consciously prepared local and organic fare. Our state of the art aquaponic gardens and exterior raised beds produce our vegetables, salads, herbs, and berries. Our ethically culled wild venison is available together with local game if so desired. Our regional suppliers offer fresh & wild caught seafood and local trout. We are happy to discuss bespoke menus upon request. Natasha is known and loved by our guests for putting up amazing, comforting homely dishes.

Very comfortable "highland style " lodge accommodation that is centred around Paul Lister's Wilderness philosophy. Food is delicious, service impeccable and surroundings stunning. Forgot your wellies or waterproofs- no problem- beautifully branded product on tap to help you enjoy the great outdoors appropriately kitted out. The Lodge's own hydro power ensures that there is plenty of hot water and the cold is banished outside. Relaxation guaranteed in the remoteness of Sutherland.

Set in a 23,000 acre wilderness reserve which has been 'rewilded' back to its former natural beauty, Alladale Lodge has been redefining nature-based travel. They have planted almost a million native trees to date and reintroduced various animal species in the reserve. Guests can go on their wilderness safaris and guided hikes too! And the food? Their chef uses predominantly homegrown ingredients from their gardens, and venison from the reserve. Who's ready to go on a Scottish Highlands getaway?
