A Haven Town House With a choice of fourteen clean, comfortable rooms, you'll be guaranteed a pleasant stay with us. We have just returned from a 2 night stay at The A-Haven Townhouse Hotel and feel so lucky to have found such a special place to stay. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 12 years, through work and leisure. I cant recommend it enough as it is such a pleasure to stay there.

Its is very homely and the rooms are very clean and the beds are really comfortable. A first class accommodation. The warmth and comfort we felt right off the bat with David Kay is no less than wonderful.

We really enjoyed our stay at A Haven. The room was small but absolutely perfect for two people. Everything was clean and David was very nice. His recommendations made our time in Edinburgh better. The area around the hotel is very nice and after a 10 min walk you are at leiths which has beautiful bars and restaurants. Bus stations to all directions are right in front of the hotel.

Difficult where to start a beautiful 1867 building that has been decorated with taste in keeping with its age. The dining room is superb and very tasteful. My room was simple but had everything that was needed. The breakfasts are superb my favourite was the smoked haddock. A great place to stay.

Always a warm friendly welcome, stay here everytime we visit Edinburgh. Directly on the bus route to town or Leith. Great breakfasts, comfy rooms, superbly hosted.

The rooms are warm and comfortable. They are clean and kept tidy. Breakfast is in the beautiful dining area. The coffee is good and David is accommodating to food allergies. David and the whole staff are friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home. We've stayed here twice now and will do so again when we're in the area.

Excellent room, the most comfy bed and very quiet. Good breakfast times with no rush and the breakfast was absolutely top notch, the people at the hotel were kind and friendly with lots of information to impart over the area and buses to get into Edinburgh.the no.11 is right outside. Short distance into the city centre without city centre prices. Free car parking spaces in the secure area belonging to the hotel. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

A Haven is a lovely hotel, the room was clean with a very comfy bed. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were really tasty and freshly prepared. It's about a 40 minute walk into Edinburgh, or there is a bus stop across the road, so it's quite central. We would have no hesitation is staying there again should we be in the area

This is a really great place. The house is a large old house; nice breakfasts; short bus ride to the touristy parts of town. Highly recommended!

Excellent bnb. David takes good care of you. The location has super easy access to city centre via bus. Busses run frequently until midnight. Safe neighborhood. He serves a mean Scottish breakfast, with an egg, bacon, sausage, black pudding, Haggis, tomato, and potato scone. The room is perfectly sized. The shower water takes long to heat up though. I spent 50 a night for a single room. I think this is a great deal!

Friendly owner. personal service. interesting breakfast conversation with other guests. i had a single room (#7) in the attic with a sky window facing the street. was a bit noisy. rates very reasonable. for non-scottish visitors: try scottish breakfast at least once. haggis and black pudding have to be tried - but will convert only few.
