Kintail Lodge Converted from a former shooting lodge, the hotel is situated on the A87 road to Skye and stands at the foot of the Five Sisters of Kintail, right on the shores of Loch Duich. This Highland Hotel is an ideal, comfortable base for walkers, climbers and tourists. If you are keen to bag a Munro or three you couldn't find a better place to stay - 30 of Scotland 's Munroes are in the area.

For the less energetic, there are numerous local tourist attractions - all suitable for day trips including Eilean Donan Castle , Plockton, Attadale Gardens , Isle of Skye and Applecross.

A great restaurant situated in a beautiful location. It is a great retreat after your visit around Dornie. The menu is very varied. The staff is welcoming and kind. I was tempted to try the Mackerel Soup (since they are surrounded by lochs I wanted to try some fresh fish dish) and it didn't disappoint! It was sumptuous - I had to order another one.

We also ordered a Butternut Squash & Chickpea Dhal (an Indian dish) and it was much better than most of the Indian restaurant dishes out there. The price is great (not too expensive). Highly recommend dining here.

Came for food whilst campervanning at the Kintail campsite. Great food and service, haggis bon bons, haddock and chips and the haddock mac and cheese. Skye beer on tap too .

First impressions count. A very warm welcome after a stormy hike. The bar has a very good selection of drinks. The bitter was my favourite. Oh and the peaty tasting whiskey. The fish and chips was phenomenal . The next dinner I had.macaroni and haggis chips was amazing. The next.steak and ale pie delicious again. All good portions and well presented.

I tried the fish and chips without batter.wow! My single room is just right. Great shower. Everything clean. Bed very comfortable.pillows the best on my highland trip.like clouds. Breakfast is marvellous. I stuffed my face for the days hiking. A lovely room to eat it in too. All the staff have been genuine and friendly. Taking time to chat and listening to the millionth hiker story I'm sure Location is epic.views amazing.

It's perfect for the 5 sisters of kintail ridge hike, stopover or refuel on the Cape Wrath Trail. Value for money All day. A true Highland experience. Can't thank all at the lodge enough.

Very good hotel with a good bar and good food. Breakfast was good too. Staff lovely. A bit pricey perhaps. They seem to be investing in the hotel, so perhaps priced for what it will be, not what it is.

We only had dinner here. Limited, old menu. Haggis bonbons were really good. My friend and I both had burger. Very dry and overcooked. To the point I couldn't eat mine. I thought it may have been left in a hot cabinet for too long. Service was satisfactory. Would not return or recommend.

Went for tea after a long hike. Friends were at the youth hostel 3km away and rather than let them walk back to the hotel and be late for dinner, the wonderful waitress drove over to the hostel and picked them up. Curry and whisky was amazing too!

Booked in advance (essential) for a birthday meal. In spite of being very busy we were served quickly and the food came in good time. Massive portions. Excellent VFM.

Eight of us stayed over for new year. After a lovely meal, we went into the bar where the locals (god knows where they all came from!) Showed us how to bring the new year in, in style. The best new years party, bar none
