The Highlands of Scotland... the very words conjure up purple hills, misty glens, remote beauty, air as clean as the beginning of time. The village of Plockton is the very essence of the Highland experience. And in the heart of the village, the Haven Hotel - built a century ago as a merchant's residence, the Haven still retains its unique character.
Behind its warm sandstone exterior, you'll find all the elements of a traditional Highland welcome - friendly service, well-appointed rooms and delicious locally-produced food.

I stayed 2 nights at the Haven guest house as part of a group of 14 on a car tour of the Highlands. The Haven Guest House certainly knows how to make you feel at home which is very welcome after several hours driving. On arrival we were met by Lynne (one of the friendliest people you will meet on your travels) and shown to room 14. The room was nice and comfortable with a modern bathroom.
The views over the rooftops of Plockton to the sea were very nice. Complimentary tea and coffee is not only available in your room but also available in the lounge made by Lynne on request. The lounge is extremely comfortable and udeal for catching up with fellow travellers and sharing the days adventures. Breakfast was amazing being served as a hot buffet as well as a large choice of fruit and cereals.
There were even cakes to take away with you for later in the day. Thank you to all the staff at the Haven Guest House - You clearly are going the extra mile to make guests stay memorable ones.

We had a lovely stay at the Haven Guest House. Lynne was very accommodating and helpful (we were late to check in due to a broken down car!) Comfy, clean rooms and a modern bathroom. Echoing lots of other reviews - the breakfast is honestly the best we've had whilst on holiday.everything you could ask for - tasty and top quality. Would love to stay here the next time we visit Plockton which is a lovely little village.

My Mother & I just stayed here. The room was nice, beds were very comfy & everything was spotlessly clean. The staff & owners were lovely & exceptionally attentive & accommodating. The lounge & two wee dogs Barney & Bobby were just lovely. The whole place has a fantastic homely feel & the breakfast was superb. Lyn you're a star! Gary & Lis.

It was an amazing experience staying here. Rooms were very clean and spacious, bathroom again very big and tidy. We also had the morning buffet breakfast, which had almost all the English items from Bread, Coffee, tea, fresh fruits, cereals to muffin and much more. Definitely a 5 star experience. Keep it up!

Fantastic stay at The Haven in Plockton. Lynne is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was probably the best we've had travelling, amazing spread of cooked food, toast, pancakes, fruit, cereals. Literally everything you could want at a breakfast buffet. Chef and assistants were always cheery and chatty making sure you were ok.
Although we only stayed here for one night, we will definitely return. We were able to keep our car in the car park round back whilst we went on a boat trip and Lynne made sure we had plenty of her homemade shortbread to see us off. Delicious! Oh and there are two wee scamp dogs who love a wee ear rub of a belly stroke :

Book this gem before everyone else learns about it. Although it doesn't provide lunches or evening meals the breakfast is excellent. With a welcoming host, who is both knowledgeable about local attractions, and for which nothing is too much trouble, complimentary tea/coffee with homemade shortbread, what is not to like? The rooms are comfortable and it's in the A1 location in the village.

A perfect stay! I am so amazed by the hospitality of the place, delicious breakfast and the atmosphere. The family of owners are very nice and care about every detail of guests' experience. The rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever tried, with the variety of options, including local salmon and haggis.
