UPDATE. MAY 2022: NOW NO LONGER A HOTEL. NO ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE. ----------------------------------------------------- Ideal for our purpose (group of mature bikers) where you can park the motorcycles right at your room door. Restaurant food and breakfasts are excellent and well worth a visit even if not staying. Run as a family business you are made to feel welcome by all the staff. We'll be back.

Stopped here while touring the NC500. Ended up staying the night. Food was great, but not as great as the service and welcome. If youre looking for somewhere to stay while touring definitely a decent place to call in. Also big field around the corner to walk the dogs and a big tesco 2 minutes away to stock up.

Booked in October 2021 to stay here for 5 days in April 2022 only to be told in February 2022 when I phoned to enquiring about off site amenities they told me they had sold the motel at Christmas and couldn't guarantee new owners would honour our booking why they didn't have the DECENCY let us know so we could find alternative accommodation before everywhere was booked as this is a popular location TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE

The owner of the Riverside B & B where we were staying recommended the Moorfield and we were not disappointed at all, the service was excellent just as the food was, I had the best Guinness Steak pie ever and hubby had the Burns Chicken, highly recommend the Moorside if you are visiting Ullapool for work or pleasure

Excellent food. Even if you don't like fish you will like it here. Its fresh and cooked in the proper way whatever fish it is. Superb! I even had two fish courses and I don't usually eat fish. Scallops and smoked salmon. Yum yum yum. Can't wait to eat here again. The service was also excellent and waiters/ waitresses came back to take drinks orders etc regularly. You don't get that in Yorkshire. This has to be a Jen 10 out of 10. The best of the best. We only ate here so I cant comment on anything else.

My husband and I were on holiday and the Morefield Motel & Bar was recommended to us for dinner. We were not disappointed. The Burns Special Chicken was absolutely delicious! The Deep Fried Haddock had a light and crispy coating that made it very good as well. We would definitely recommend this establishment!

Just had a meal here and it was very good and whilst the staff were very busy they where very friendly. This feels like a family run business which are always the best. We were looked after by Heather who has a great way with customers (even when they have a had a beer or two before arriving). She is a great asset to the business, well done all of the team.

I really like Morefield Motel. As a biker it delivers exactly what we require. The rooms are a wee bit on the small side but they are a warm comfortable place to sleep and with the bike right outside your door, it's ideal. A 5 minutes walk down to Ullapool for chips and a pint or dine in at the Morefield Motel restaurant which serves outstanding food. A good nights sleep and back on the bike the following day. Excellent breakfast and excellent staff. I'd recommend this place to any biker, or person to be fair.

I couldn't recommend this place enough. The room, whilst basic, have everything you need, a comfortable bed and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The highlight of our visit however was by far the food. Portions are a great size and the tastiest food we've had on our trip so far. Would definitely love to come back here again.

Stayed for 1 night after a week of wild camping. Rooms have everything you need and are spotless, great to be able to park directly outside your room. Owner friendly and although we didn't use the bar/ restaurant it has a menu with lots of choice for all. Will definitely be back if in the area again.

Please note this review is on the food and drink only, as I did not stay here. This place was recommended by our B&B guesthouse host, SpinDrift, as being no frill decently priced food. I had to book a table as the day before it was fully booked. When we arrived walked straight into the bar area and were greeted by the restaurant staff who confirmed our booking.
We waited like 5 minutes before being seated during which we were able to order our drinks at the bar area. We ordered two sirloin steaks which came with onion rings, mushroom and chips. There is another version which also comes with black pudding and veggies for an extra 5 (Balmoral Sirloin Steak) but this was enough. We didn't wait long before the steak was presented in front of us.
My steak was medium rare and cooked to perfection. There was a 2 inch vein/connection tissue which would probably put some people off but not the chefs fault as you couldn't see this until you cut into it. My friends Sirloin was well done and he really enjoyed it. I would say the chips were like take away chips twice fried, I personally didn't enjoy those chips, some were over fried and had that look that the over-fried chips locked in the oil. Chef get a tattle peeler and chipper. Overall a pleasant visit and good food and drink. Staff were pleasant and attentive.

Quite a cute motel. All comments about small rooms in need of refurbishment are fair. But at the same time we found the place had some charm. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Stone's throw to a great playground. 15 min walk to all the restaurants in Ullapool. The bar was lively in a good, atmospheric way - informal and welcoming. We'd return.
