I booked in early March with a free Cancellation policy via Booking.com but to date never got my refund despite cancelling before Lockdown in the UK was announced. Another Hotel I booked the same week refunded me in full. They are uncontactable by phone and E mail so I have now requested Booking.com investigate. In the current virus circumstances if they had offered a voucher I would have accepted but now I am pursuing full refund. Looking at the reviews on Tripadvisor they do not respond to both good and poor reviews which is not a good sign. Poor service indeed but I suspect not alone in this current Virus environment. A short but sweet trip to the Lake District for the night. 70 for 1 Sunday night (king room). An extremely cosy hotel, comfortable bed and spacious room with lovely views. Calming atmosphere and clean and tidy throughout. Free off road parking (a massive plus when you're coming from 150 miles away!) Situated conveniently between bowness and Windermere. 10-15 minute walk both directions. 100% recommend and will definitely want to re-book when visiting again.
