I so enjoyed my stay at Blenheim Lodge in the Lake District. Beautiful property in a great location. Easy walk into town for shopping and restaurants. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, delicious full English breakfast, and a helpful and knowledgeable host. I highly recommend this B&B.

I had a lovely stay at this quiet, cosy and welcoming B and B. Janz and her family were friendly and very accomadating -even giving tips on the local area. The view from my bedroom was beautiful, and the breakfasts that were included in my stay were very tasty! I had many wonderful chats with Janz, and I loved exploring Bowness and Lake Windermere.

One of my favourite things to do was walk Queen Adalide's hill -it has a spectacular view to it! I would certainly recommand people visit Bowness/Windermere if they want some amazing views and some fresh lake air! I would also strongly recommand Blenheim Lodge as the perfect place to stay for anyone who wants to relex after a day out and about seeing the sights. I am already thinking about my next stay!

Amazing views from our room. spotlessly clean and the bed was sooo comfortable. Janz is a lovely lady and makes you feel very welcomed. Will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to the lakes.

Lovely B&B, with Janz and Robert taking great care of us over our short stay; making sure we were aware of covid measures beforehand, and supplying local tips for walks and easy access to town. Situated at the back of the town on the edge of the fell amazing views of the lake at the front. Perfectly placed to be able to walk uphill onto the open hills and woods to the east, or down the hill to the town for evening food and drinks. Great for those wanting a bit of both worlds. Definitely on the list of places to stay if we're back in Bowness!

Nice room with a great location and a short walk to everything we needed and the B&B manager was amazing - she went above and beyond for us.

Lovely little b&b walking distance from Lake Windermere with other great walks on your doorstep. Janz was a wonderful host and made us feel welcome and safe. The room was clean and cosy with a good view of the lake. You can really make the most of what this town and the surrounding area has to offer when staying at Blenheim. Thank you!

I wish I could leave as glowing a review as the other reviews here (which is why I booked). The good things: Janz (the owner) is extremely nice and helpful. My room was very quiet and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and there was a nice walk I could do from the lodge itself. What I wish I had read in other reviews: - The room I stayed in was not one you would want to spend any amount of time in.

The only view I had of the lake was if I stood by the window and craned my head. The room itself was very small, with only a bed and a small wooden chair, and the sitting room was closed due to Covid, so I had no place to lounge or relax. - Bowness-on-Windermere is not very 'picturesque' - compared to other towns and villages in the Lake District, it was decidedly average, with no good restaurants within walking distance (just typical pubs, Thai, Chinese, pizza - nothing like the nice restaurants and bars in other town in the Lake District). I left after one night.

Visited in August 2020, and honestly I have to say best B&B I've stayed, obviously Covid changed everything but owners done everything to make sure all was safe and provided what needed. Amazing and clean rooms with amazing view! Knowledge of owners regarding area it was so helpful! Guys one more time thank you for great time great breakfast and good luck keep going definitely if we back to Lake District we will already know where to stay! PS. sorry for late review. Magik & Ash

A wonderful B&B in the town of Bowness-on-Windermere! Traveled to Blenheim for my first trip post-lockdown and the experience was outstanding. COVID specific things aside, the rooms were very comfortable, especially the bed, the location was a short 5 minute walk to the lake, restaurants, and shops, and it's on a very quiet cul-de-sac away from the main hustle and bustle of town. Janz was a very accommodating host and took every precaution to make sure her B&B was COVID safe while still ensuring a pre-COVID level of service. Would definitely stay again!

Blenheim Lodge is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The rooms are stunningly pretty with probably the most amazing views of the Lakes to be found. The beds are luxurious and the most comfy we have ever found. Every thought is given by Janz and Robert the hosts to making a stay special. Nothing is too much trouble and there is always the warmest of welcomes.

Little touches like tea making facilities, bathing products all add to the wonderful homely feeling on arrival. Breakfast is marvellous! Lots of choice and plenty of everything. The breakfast room has a relaxing calming atmosphere, a great start to the day. We cannot recommend Blenheim Lodge enough and can honestly say we would not want to stay anywhere else in the area

After looking at the great reviews online, the "lovely pictures" provided online, it seemed a winner to book my mum and her partner Blenheim lodge as they were visiting the Lake District, however, this was the worst mistake I could have ever made. Firstly, upon arrival the host was briefly there. They told my mum and her partner if they need anything to contact them via email.

Not the best service considering my mother is over 60 and in a brand new environment which she was not familiar with. The rooms where small, stuffy and did not resemble the pictures online! The bedding was not clean and there was clear signs of damp! Breakfast was unsatisfactory and after one night it was clear another hotel was needed to be booked.

With haste, I booked a local hotel down the road, which was perfect for my mother. Initially i booked four nights at Blenheim lodge, however only they only stayed for one night due to the terrible conditions. We kindly asked to be refunded the remaining three nights, as we did not occupy the rooms. The host denied the request and charged us the full price. Blenheim lodge is a prime example of fabricated and false reviews.

The pictures shown online does not resemble the actual room and facilities. This was honestly such a terrible experience and would not want someone else to make the same mistakes. It's also rather expensive at 120-150gbp a night, whilst other hotels locally are not only cheaper, but far superior quality and service in every aspect. Complete waste of money in my opinion and would not ever wish to revisit.

We stayed again at Blenheim Lodge and nothing is too much trouble for the owners Janz and Robert. Blenheim Lodge has a very steep incline but this is made clear when you read up about this B & B. When you arrive, the views are spectacular. It is immaculately clean and so comfortable. I have noticed a negative review, which I completely disagree with. Also no one in the world is accountable for the good old British weather.
