We stayed here in July 2021 and found it to be clean and comfortable. Easy to find as its located on the main road into the lakes but not much noise from the road. We stayed in the bedrooms located behind which have their own free car park and door entry so no need to enter the main building. It also had a small private patio to chill. Approx 30 minutes walk downhill to lake windermere and approx 45 minutes back up so be prepared (1.25 miles ). Only a few minutes walk to the shops and pubs etc but they were always fully booked. Very happy with our stay at the Ravensworth to celebrate my birthday.

Stayed for 3 nights, room only. Lovely hotel less than 5 minutes from Windermere town centre. Staff excellent, there wasn't fridge in room but they let us use fridge/freezer in their kitchen. Room cleaned + fresh towels daily.

Great place to stay, quite close to lake (bout 3.5 miles) but has plenty of pubs on the way so it does not feel far :D, definitely recommend. Our 4 day stay was comfy.

The Ravensworth is a decent enough little hotel, although the publicity photographs don't reflect how much in need of a good refurbishment the place is, particularly the decor. Considering the cost of a two night stay I was under the impression that the hotel was a little more upmarket. Having said that the room was very clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable.

It was actually one of the best hotel.beds I've ever slept in. We had two really good night's sleep. Despite my comments above I feel that the Ravensworth is a good hotel, but it could be so much more.

Excellent room. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice quiet hotel but not far from the town and lake Windermere. BEWARE Of comparison sites stating this hotel is pet friendly as it does not allow pets. Not the fault of the Ravensworth I hasten to add.

Picked this hotel by chance so trusted reviews which were excellent and I can confirm they were accurate. Friendly greeting on arrival before going to room which was spotless, clean and tidy of good proportions. Large comfy bed with crisp bright white linen. Very smart oak furniture, spotless carpet, clean and streak free mirrors and windows. Very impressed with shower room, loved the shower. Comes with one if the best hand soaps I come across.

Good quality soft towels. Tea & Coffee in room with enough to make 4 teas & 4 coffees. Impressed with little touches such as, bottle of fresh water with wine glasses, 2 crunchy chic chip biscuits and a choc to go to bed with. During our stay they were offering bed only but would suggest the possibly of offering breakfast as an extra. Otherwise very happy with our stay and will use this hotel again. Well done to the owners on a marvellous standard.
