The main asset is it's location beside the cathedral. It is an old building but the ground floor public areas are quite modern and air conditioned. We had a standard room on the second floor that was reached via two flights of stairs and a long narrow corridor. No guest lift in this part of the hotel but cases will be taken to and from your room via a service lift.

The room was spacious and comfortable but well lived in. Plenty of hanging and draw space in chests and wardrobe. The bathroom had a walk in shower with a very fancy unit that could provide a drench, body level jets and a wand but a lack of water pressure meant it didn't perform to expectations. The WiFi signal was also weak and intermittent. The breakfast experience was mixed with the full english being decent but service was a bit haphazard.

We had one evening meal which was a 'steak night ' special offer and that was very good. The free car park is part open and part under cover. I chose the latter because the weather was so hot but, big mistake. At night it is a major pigeon roost and my car was literally smothered with bird droppings but, in fairness, the staff did a quick wash down when I complained. We still had a decent stay in a lovely city.

Booked a couple of rooms B&B for one night. Hotel was ideally located and had a car park which was useful. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food at breakfast was good with a good selection. There was a nice atmosphere in the bar. Food in the Grille restaurant was ok. Service was good. Rooms were clean but probably needed updating but perfectly acceptable. We would definitely go back and stay there.

We really enjoyed our stay. The suite (205) was exceptionally comfortable for a weekend stay. It was large, quiet and had a good view up to the cathedral. Bed was very comfortable and breakkie was perfect. We were in a group with 6 rooms total. Others didn't have such a great experience with their rooms but we really did. Definitely ask for 205 if you can.

I wouldn't recommend staying if you have mobility issues. The corridors are like narrow rabbit warrens and the lift was broken. As everyone mentions, our car got hammered by the pigeons in the car park. But overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

The furniture in the room was really dusty. We had room service breakfast on Saturday morning, the housekeeper asked us to put the tray outside our room to be collected, it was still there on Sunday morning. The staff were lovely, polite and friendly.

I chose the hotel as it was in the lovely Cathedral Quarter of the city, so right band next to Lincoln Cathedral and Castle. A plus of the hotel is the car park (pic), as I left my car there, notified the hotel and walked into town till check in. There are pigeons that nest in the car park, so if your car was clean, it won't be after. I checked in at 2 and was welcomed nicely and given all the help needed.

The room was clean but needed a bit of a touch up on paint, and a few other little things tightening up and/or replacing. It didn't spoil the room though and the main thing is cleanliness and a comfy bed. I stayed for 2 nights and had breakfast included. The 1st morning I had to wait 40 minutes for a fry up, 10 for a tea (with no milk, I had to ask). However, the staff (again) were nice and the food was great.

I would suggest a cold buffet at the very least, so when customers are waiting they can help themselves to cereal and drink. I used the bar at night and that was popular, and the drinks I had were nice. I paid just over 150 for 2 nights with breakfast. I thought it was an ok experience. The staff are great but the couple of things I pointed out bring the place down. I will say this, it has massive potential.

Lovely hotel central for all attractions. Cathedral and castle literally round the corner. Restaurant food a bit pricey but well worth it. Staff very helpful hotel very warm and comfortable. The only slight downside we couldn't see out of our windows as they were frosted! Which made the room seem very closed in. So if booking and you want a view I think it better to request one just in case.

If you are planning a trip to Lincoln I can't recommend the White Hart Hotel enough. Right on the doorstep of the Cathedral and Castle, you'd be hard pushed to find a better location. The Cathedral bells do ring every hour but not all through the night thankfully! The staff were fabulous, breakfast was well managed and delicious and the hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean. Next time we are in Lincoln theres nowhere else I would want to book.

Staff were very friendly and helpful but the room was quite small and very warm with no opening windows. Only one set of towels was left for 2 of us although we were given an extra set when we asked. The onsite parking was a bonus. The location is excellent particularly as we were in Lincoln for a Graduation ceremony in the Cathedral.

Lovely place, friendly staff. Room needed a few little repairs but nothing major. Breakfast was tasty, service a bit slow due to staffing shortages/minimal training? We'll definitely be back great location too.

We booked dinner in the Grille, the food was very below par. Stodgy pastry vegetarian option with half a carrot and two halves of broccoli. Undercooked Dauphinois potatoes and meagre portion of vegetables. Steak was nice. Cointreau coffee was stirred and very weak.

Amazing location and a beautiful old building. Lovely and warm in the autumn/winter months. The executive rooms are wonderful, very spacious and inviting. The bar downstairs is a little on the expensive side but the cocktails are superb! Breakfast was nice but the service during left a little to be desired, we asked twice for tea and also asked twice for toast and marmalade but we never actually received them and so we were left feeling a little like we had been abandoned. I'm sure this was just an oversight and normally wouldn't happen. Overall we had a lovely stay at the White Hart and we will definitely be back.

Went for a meal in the White Hart's Bar and Grill on Friday evening and we were so disappointed with the food and the service. My husband had the turkey which was very dry and the veg was so hard and cold. Service was not great and when we asked to speak with the manager we were told by the waiters that he was too busy in the office. We went for lunch on Sunday a few doors up at The Prince of Wales Inn and had a great meal with great service at a fraction of the cost!

Although busy because the Christmas markets were on, it's in a prime location and had the right atmosphere for a wonderful long lunch. Lovely staff, wonderful food. We had the lunchtime menu and this went to 5pm! And plenty of choice. I thought the quality for 3 courses for 20: was excellent value. If I come to Lincoln again I will certainly eat here again. The ladies toilets were clean and had liquid soap and hand cream.

This is a 4 star hotel not 3 star in our opionion. Our room was extremely comfortable with a modern clean bathroom. All the staff were polite and helpful with a nothing is a problem attitude. Our springer spaniel even felt at home and received a few breakfast treats! BIG thank you to Chris for looking after 6 of us, really off the scale service! And don't forget to try the cocktails!.first class.
