Castle Hotel

Had my wedding reception here, amazing, would definitely recommend

Good location for castle and cathedral. Rooms are good, plenty of storage space, didn't find bed that comfortable but ok, shower really good. Breakfast good and staff excellent. Good value really.

Amazing location! Central to the old part of the city. Clean, bright and spacious hotel. Helpful/kind staff and the breakfast is 5*.

Super hotel. Next time, though, I would avoid the mediocre breakfast. Mushrooms are baked until they are like leather. Vegetarian sausages are over-baked, but not turned while cooking, so one side can be eaten. Spinach is over-cooked and unpleasantly bitter. I understand that the meat sausages are good and I know the eggs are very good indeed, especially the poached ones.

But there are so many cafes within a few minutes walk, it just isn't worth the hassle of trying to avoid the overcooked stuff. The Superior King Room was well worth the extra as we had windows on three sides, through-flow ventilation, and even a window in the ensuite bathroom. It was so nice to have daylight in there. Nearly every hotel these days puts ensuites on interior walls with blindingly bright lights and automatic noisy fans, so if you get up in the night.

Well let's say the hoteliers have never thought about it. But this was a really good feature. The staff were very nice and helpful, and everything was up to the expectations we'd got from their website, apart from the vegetarian breakfasts. I would gladly return next time we're passing through Lincoln.

Always a great place - been here many times. Just disappointed that they now don't serve a wider range of meals over the weekends.

Awful rooms, bad management. Took money out a week prior to turning up. Rooms were dirty and unclean. They tried to make excuses that it was clean but locked up for 2 days dues to no guests. I guess the elves went to town in it then?wouldn't go there and wouldn't recommend. Currently fighting g for money back as I ended up at the Hilton instead that day.

Excellent stay, great central location, minutes from Lincoln cathedral - The service from the front of house team was faultless, the food at dinner was pleasantly nice, especially the mushroom wellington. Would definitely stay again, Rooms were clean and tidy, well stocked. Mattress was a little tired although i slept well. Rooms could do with some usb charging points, an expectation for all hotels in 2022. We paid 120 for the room, Breakfast and dinner, a total steal.

At 10.30 pm on a Saturday evening, there was no option of a cocktail as only the hotel receptionist was available to serve drinks. I asked for a baileys but the bottle was empty and a request for an espressesso martini was definitely not an option.

What a beautiful hotel. All the team, especially David, were great, nice little bar and lovely restaurant. Our room was excellent. Certainly style is possible in an older building.

Very comfortable and in an excellent position to visit the Castle district. Pretty quiet for a city centre location, so we had a restful sleep and a very tasty breakfast.

Stayed overnight at the Cottage owned by the hotel opposite the main building absolutely lovely 2 bed house in an ideal location for exploring Lincoln, Breakfast at the main hotel was fantastic and staff at every opportunity provided the highest levels of service, Very Impressive throughout

Lovely room with triple aspect views. Comfortable setting with a warm vibe to the hotel. We know Lincoln well so for a newcomer, this would be an ideal base situated in the old quarter. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Wifi was good and the breakfast was great. In a nutshell, it is difficult to find fault with any of the facilities. Would certainly recommend the Castle Hotel for a short stay. Bev and Steve

Booked the Stables apartment. Absolutely lovely. Food in the hotel was excellent and as you're right in the heart of old Lincoln, lots of small specialty restaurants close by. Looking forward to longer stay next time

Stayed one night to attend a wedding in Lincoln, so glad we chose this hotel, ideally located closed to the castle and cathedral historic Quarter, lovely clean rooms, comfortable bed, great breakfast and reasonable price, good value for money, will be returning again

Great stay for a few days visiting friends in Lincoln. Great location for the cathedral quarter. 5 mins walk to the castle.
