West Park

Lovely atmosphere and good food. Reasonably priced for the centre of Harrogate. Sadly one of our dishes was not added to our order (there was five of us) and not picked up until quite sometime after. All rectified in the end and food came out at the same time and was hot.

We dropped in here for a lunch reservation and we had a great meal. The bar and restaurant are elegant and comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly. Really nice location near the town centre and views across the Stray. Menus for food and wine were great with a varied selection to cover most people's requirements. Only negative was a random choice of background music playing. Some external seating for sunny days and pets are allowed in.

Amazing Hotel and incredible staff, so clean not a speck of dust in the whole room. Nothing was too much to ask for and made my girlfriends 23rd Birthday so special with rose petals on the bed and West Park Chocolates. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel. I was looking for something a bit different, which I can't really say this was, but having said that it was comfortable, quiet and a good location for walking to town. I was a bit worried about the parking situation but the multi storey next door was convenient and very reasonable. The food in the restaurant was nice but nothing special.

Superb staff, attention to detail and quality location. My wife booked a surprise 50th night away for us at this gem of a hotel. Could not fault, from amazing front of house, fantastic rooms, delicious drinks and a spotless suite overlooking the park. A five minute stroll to the bars and shops. Quite possibly my favourite hotel in the UK right now.

Met a friend & had Sunday lunch at West Park hotel. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. The waitress kindly bought a very comfy dog bed for Harley my dog. Thank you. Really enjoyed our meal and there was no rush at all so we able to chill out, which was lovely.

A group of ladies our for an evening meal and drinks. This was always a firm favourite, but we were very disappointed this evening in the service and atmosphere. I had asked for a table indoors and they put us in the extended outdoor area which now has a roof on and they class it as indoors. Would have been fine when we weren't allowed to eat indoors, but on a very wet and miserable night, it was cold and draughty.

They had no idea what a Calypso coffee was and it had to be sent back, waiting staff kept offering food which was not for our table. We were offered a bottle of wine, which was for the table next to us - jokingly we said we weren't paying for it, but it appeared on our bill at the end of the evening. This is the 2nd time they have added an extra bottle to our bill, so you have to check carefully. The staff were not friendly and helpful like we would normally expect? What's going on? With your reputation, I expect better!

ATTENTION DOG LOVERS! You should check out this dog-friendly hotel and restaurant. We were impressed by their service and food! This place is by far the best dog-friendly hotel and restaurant. We stayed here for a night at their penthouse suite. This suite can accommodate four people. The interior design is homely and makes you feel at home. It is clean and comfy.

The suite has a balcony and coffee machine. We travelled with our little fur-kid. The hotel even prepared a bed for him. We certainly felt very welcome here. We had a drink at the bar followed by dinner at the restaurant. It can get very busy; make sure you call to book ahead. The bar has a wide range of cocktails and alcoholic drinks. It is outdoor seating; make sure you wrap up warm (they have heating).

The design and atmosphere are outstanding. It immediately transports you to a holiday destination abroad. The restaurant serves delicious food. Every dish was carefully prepared and cooked by celebrity chefs. Again, dogs are welcome here! All in all, we can't wait to come back here again with our fur kids.

Really enjoyed our stay, gorgeous decor. Very comfy rooms and very clean. Breakfast tasty. Staff very nice especially Meg on reception, lovely friendly on the telephone and in person

We read that this was a great place to visit, sorry but it was awful we booked for 3.15. on Sunday for 6 people. At 2.30 they phoned to say that there was no longer any beef or pork we arrive and got our table, then to discover that two of the starters were not available very embarrassing to say the least so when we decided to order what was.left the food really was not up to scratch apologies where excepted but for a place of this calibra you would expect more, sorry but we will not be coming back again thanks.
