Appalling customer service. I booked using a red letter day voucher, and they redeemed the voucher taking the money (RLD confirmed this) then the pandemic hit and they said don't worry your booking is on hold. Then when I try to re book they said I can't because the voucher has expired. What? When I explained they had taken the money they basically called me a liar!
I had to get a refund through red letter days who were fantastic. Don't think I'll be going near this place thanks. Edit: The booking was under my partners name, and I find the hotels response to be extremely condescending. I have already spoken to them via my partners email and they made it very clear what their position was. To try and say they will look into it just because I've posted a public review is nonsense. You can't defend the indefensible guys! I'm posting a public review because attempts to solve it privately ended terribly.

Our family had Mum's wake last weekend and some of us stayed a couple of nights. Every single member of staff made a very sad time a beautiful occasion. They were so attentive and put my mind at ease and went above and beyond to create a lovely stress free day for us in gorgeous surroundings. The food was amazing too. Special thanks to Danielle, Laura, Abbie who made us very welcome. Also the new girl who started two weeks ago was lovely. Hope to come back in happier times

We have stayed here a few times with my family and friends and always return to this little gem. The rooms are modern, contemporary and well equipped. All the staff are fantastic and couldn't do enough for us each time we visit. The breakfast, lunch and dinner is of high quality and the portions are amazing. My friend is a vegan and they cater for her requirements too.
The car park is a bonus and it's a pleasant stroll to the town with the beach right in front. Please do try his hotel, you really will enjoy the whole experience. Thanks to all at Camelia Hotel. Mrs Nutan Fernando

Today I went for afternoon tea. It was amazing. The sandwiches were so fresh. Lots of cakes, all lovely and beautifully decorated with bits of fruit. Had to bring some home. The staff were so friendly, polite, nothing was too much trouble. I would really recommend it. The meals other people were having looked lovely too. We would like to come again for a meal, Sunday lunch. Very clean and great ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We went for afternoon tea and were not disappointed. Starting with lovely sandwiches, followed by warm scones with clotted cream & jam. The other cakes were also delicious. The waitress was friendly explaining what we were having. Several teas and coffee available, and bubbles can also be purchased. So glad we chose this hotel.

Room was lovely, clean, comfortable and the fixtures, fittings, everything seemed really new and fresh. Easy to park, such friendly staff. Cannot fault them, they were so chatty and nice. Location was great. 10mins walk from amusements, right on the beach would be a nice summer spot. Looses a star for breakfast, it was okay, not tons of flavour and a bit boring. Best part was the sausage the rest was a bit sad. hot chocolate was tasty. This aside. Thank you, we had a lovely stay with you.
