The room with balcony is fantastic with great views however don't bother with room service as we didn't get everything we ordered. Called to reception to sort it but nothing ever turned up and this totally ruined our meal. Called reception again to have items removed from our bill that never turned up but this wasn't done! Every time we have a drink they want you to have it charged to the room only to find out extra drinks have been added. Booked a table in the restaurant with views out only to be placed in a dark corner inside. Was going to go elsewhere when they gave us a better table. Such a shame as this is a beautiful hotel but we have received very poor service throughout :

Lovely location for afternoon tea. Lady who took care of our table was first class. Nothing was too much trouble despite changing our minds with drinks a couple of times. One small feedback on the gluten free option is to work on fresher bread and an improvement on the basic cakes. Standard option was much more superior and no complaints there. Hope you can work on that for other guests with dietary restrictions.

Birthday lunch. Excellent all round. We'd not been before but were on a recommendation. Staff friendly, polite and helpful but not in your face. Explained dishes new to diners. Quality of food was top notch. Pricey.yes but you pay for what you get. Nice views from our table. Very popular so book a table on line, very easy to do. Free carpark but it fills quickly.

Our first point of contact, before we even arrived, was Karen who was super helpful, welcoming and charming. In fact all the staff are a real asset, very polite and helpful. The hotel is very busy and bustling, offering a great Sunday lunch; afternoon tea and spa. The decor is very attractive and calming throughout, helping to create an ambience which has warmth and calmness. Our bedroom was well presented and clean but, in my opinion, on the small side (tea and coffee and fridge in wardrobe too close to the bed)

I have visited the restaurant a few times now over the past few years and have seen how it has flourished developed. Previously the food has been better but in the last 3 visits we have had an issue with the food. Seems the taste is getting blander on each visit. I will advise you to always book a table, you may be disappointed otherwise. The restaurant and lounge have their separate menus.
On this occasion: We had a longer wait for food to arrive and we all did not enjoy the food. It seemed bland and over cooked - we all had separate lunchtime lounge meals, portion size as always is large (you will not leave hungry). One table member struggled to eat the meat on the plate as it was to chewy. The tiger prawns with the heads had mushy flesh - this is a freshness problem the enzymes in the head are released on death.
Not the chefs fault. But something should be looked into. The sides were perfect. I do hope they sort their kitchen out soon. The best meal I had here was the lamb shank. The service was friendly and accommodating but rushed off their feet with a full house on a Monday lunch service. Full 5 stars for staff and cleanliness. Everyone looked smart.

From the first step to the hotel there's was everything absolutely wonderful! Receptionist Jessica was so friendly, helpful and professional! Then the design of the all hotel impressive. When I open the door to the room- there's was absolutely for me: by design and comfort, just superb! As I know now this design has been created by designer Sue and Julie, one's wife!
After all I'd like to tell that restaurant as well every stylish and the food was excellent! And the team of this restaurant was above of all my expectations! I'd like to say thank you for the great service to Levi restaurant's Manager, Lee, Rino, Mary, Kristina, to all who made that dinner time very enjoyable! After this great service, I made decision to stay all weekend at this hotel. Feeling great! Thank you very much to all, including cleaners, who made this atmosphere and comfort! Definitely will back!

We enjoyed Sunday Lunch yesterday at the Rosalin. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. The food was really lovely - very generous sized portions, which meant that we left feeling very full. We both enjoyed the cocktails on offer as well! It was a nice, sunny day which added to the enjoyment as we had a table in the window facing the waterfront.

It's become our annual treat to come here for the afternoon tea just after Christmas. The hotel is very tastefully decorated for Christmas and the food is very nice. It is quite expensive, but then you have to remember this is an acclaimed Two AA ** Rosette restaurant. Worth coming for the great food and atmosphere. We will be returning.

The place has a worthy 4 star rating. It is spotless. The rooms are clean, modern, very big with a bath and a walk in shower with a HDTV and fridge and iron included. The restaurant has excellent food although very pricey (steak and chips, 2 drinks with a coffee 88+) but the staff and the outside terrace is excellent to eat breakfast and dinner too.
Afternoon tea was a nice change (36 each) very busy so book beforehand. We stayed in a superior room with sea view but unfortunately we got the last room overlooking the restaurant roof with a balcony you could only just turn around in. A notice beforehand would have been appreciated. Medium size car park which sold it for us, but was full and had to wait for a space to be available. Next day it was empty! (Tuesday). A beautiful pricey hotel that was worth the money.

This hotel is gorgeous. Although it is a bit of a walk from the pier/attractions, etc. it is a lovely walk along the seafront so you don't mind. The hotel has all the amenities, including a spa, the terrace is beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. Our king size, sea view room was large, clean and had everything we could have asked for.
Why then am I giving it only 2 stars? Due to our schedules, my husband and I very rarely get out of London and we were only able to have a 3 day break, meaning our second day was our only full day. We planned to sleep late, mabey order room service, basically just enjoy one lazy, romantic morning. Unfortunately they were renovating the room next to ours and extremely loud drilling, hammering etc. started early.
Finally I called reception and they apologized and said it would stop immediately. It did not. 30 minutes later I called again. Again they apologized and, eventually it stopped but by then it was too late for us to enjoy our relaxing morning as we were up and cranky. I spoke with the people at the front desk, who promised it would not happen the next day, but since we were checking out that day it wasn't going to be the relaxing morning we were in need of.
I understand things like this happen but, although they apologized, they offered us nothing. I worked in hospitality for years and, if something like that were to upset one of my guests I would have, at the very least, comped something as a way to show the business was sorry. I am not saying a free night or something that major, just something small as a token.
We had dinner on their terrace, drinks at their bar and room service, they had many options. Sadly, although I would rave about the actual hotel, that one major disappointment means I can not fully recommend them.

Excellent dinner and wonderful service! It's got a lovely atmosphere and huge portions of food, with a very well stocked bar. We went as a large group for my mum's 50th birthday and it was packed - very glad we booked! We were still very well looked after and they'd done is a set menu to order from specially for the evening. The staff were wonderful, cannot recommend highly enough! The car park is quite small though, so get there early!

Great place to have a nice meal in the sun, although I do think its a bit expensive for self service at the bar for outside seating The inside dinning area is a bit more of a posh affair with v nice food, but still on the tad pricy side for what you get. Cocktails are good (when they mix the one you actually ordered, on one occasion it took me a couple of attempts to get the correct cocktail) Overall, food good, wine list good, cocktails good, great location on a sunny day and people are friendly.
I just don't think the self service for outside seating and getting your own drinks warrants the high-prices - although I'm sure it won't stop me going there - I'll just think of other options first

I love most things about The Roslin. I love the house White, I love the food (especially the fish) and I love the conservatory over looking the seafront especially on a sunny day. The service is good and they are attentive, especially towards little-uns. They provide crayons and a menu to colour in whilst they wait for their food. We have also used the Roslin's function room to host my Mother in laws 60th party.
It was a tad expensive but everything ran smoothly and the staff were very helpful. My only gripe is the service can be slow when they are busy. At one dinner we were there for nearly 2 hours in total by the time the starters, mains and desserts arrived and we had paid the bill.

Patchy to say the least We have eaten here 4 times in the last 6 months. The food, on 2 occasions it was outstanding on 1 mediocre and the last time we went very poor. The service has always been good, we seem to get the same waitress each time and she is lovely, friendly and lovely to our 9 year old daughter. I would recommend the place without hesitation on a good day, but it has to be a good day Lovely location and very comfortable though
