Very cosy rooms which - to my knowledge - all have double beds and are ensuite with decent size baths and loads of hot water. The rooms now also have fridges and small freezers (I think ) and most of the rooms are rented by professionals. The building is only a 5-minute walk from about 3 buses in a frequent and regular basis to central Birmingham on the Hagley Road. Norma is a friendly owner and host. There is a garden and it's a very pleasant and relaxing place to stay.

This place is a great small hotel/ bed and breakfast for when visiting Birmingham with easy parking off road right outside and has some great little extras that most city hotels don't have. The garden out back is a little oasis and is a lovely spot to have a cuppa. The hotel has a kitchen that guests can use so no need to eat out for every meal if staying for a while and I believe you can also use a washing machine there.
Our room was clean and neutrally decorated with a good quality bathroom. The 5th star is only missing due to the culmination of a few minor things such as the room being a little plain (nothing on the walls), only bananas for fruit at breakfast and no tea or coffee sachets in our room (though I'm sure that was just a simple oversight as there was a kettle and mugs and the owner was very friendly and I'm sure would have been happy to bring them up if we'd asked). We'll definitely look this place up again if staying in Birmingham again.

We were given a warm welcome, and even though we had 4 dogs this was not a problem. Norma gave us a lovely big room which was beautifully decorated, and very clean. Had a lovely sleep as was very quiet there it was just a shame we only spent one night there, as would have liked longer, hopefully if we are at crufts next year we can stay at this lovely lodge for longer. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Westbourne Lodge for 4 nights in early March. I couldn't have found a better place. Yes, the room may not have been the most modern but Norma's welcoming and very friendly personality easily made up for that. I loved the free hot drinks (hot chocolate every night after I made it back through the snow!) and the fridge in my room. Very convenient! The place was very quiet with free off-road parking and only a few minutes by bus from the city centre. I will definitely be back the next time I'm coming to Birmingham.

The owner was fantastic throughout the duration of the stay - very friendly and willing to help in any way she can. All rooms were very spacious, comfortable and well equipped (all rooms have fridges too!). Breakfast was great and caters for anyone's taste. Parking is on the road so can be a bit annoying, but no complaints aside from that.

Great facilities, great cleanliness, great decor, great rooms, great wifi and lovely garden to look out on over breakfast. Great staff too - Norma was very personable, friendly, welcoming and attentive and didn't blink once that I arrived at breakfast with only ten minutes left and still in pj's! Food and tea was delicious. Slept perfectly with no noise complaints; highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. Thanks for having me guys!

I am currently staying for a second week at Westbourne Lodge and this was the first time ever that I have looked forward to staying away from home. As a lone female business traveller, before all else, I need to feel that I am safe, and I need a comfortable environment and the proprietors of this lovely guest house have certainly achieved this whilst being friendly and yet unobtrusive.
The 2 different rooms that I have stayed in have been spacious and well equipped with good size bathrooms. All is lovely and warm. The biggest bonus is the food which is all freshly prepared and I am spoilt for choice. A word of advice though. make sure you leave room for one of the homemade deserts as they are not to be missed! I am certainly recommending this place to my colleagues.
