Excellent location. Good quality family run hotel. Stayed recently for a residential course, the rooms were well appointed comfortable and large. Restaurant was friendly and efficient with a good well executed menu. Reception was warm and welcoming. The entire staff of the hotel all wanted to be there and it showed in both their helpfulness and demeanor. They are all to be congratulated on the way they represented their hotel. Thank you

Well located but awful room. Room was sloping due to old nature of building as a consequence so did the bed found myself slowly sinking into the bed at the lower end. The room electrics only come on with the room card therefore the room can only heat up when you put your card in your room. When we got back of an evening room was freezing! Nice and clean but not immaculate but that comes with price. Was really hopeful due to well presented manner of the place and nice reception staff. Maybe it was just our room? Maybe it's all of them? Would not stay again just to be safe

6 of us old friends stayed, meeting up as a reunion. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar area was great and the rooms were very comfortable. Thank you for a great stay. My only suggestion would be to offer more gluten free choices at breakfast- I did mention this when booking but there were no bread or cereals available, which many other hotels provide.

Having stayed at the Eaton quite a few times before I had high expectations. The room itself was fine albeit my in room kettle had a tea bag and some leftover tea from a previous occupant and when I flagged it to reception they asked if I did it! The dinning experience however was from another dimension and not a good one. There on a business trip and on a budget I went for the set menu although I wouldn't have fed a dog with that.
For starter I had pate- never go for pate- it was green and smelled rank. I ventured into tasting a microscopic piece and it didn't disappoint- it was indeed rank. Not even the slightest apology from the waiter. My steak was bathing in a very spicy mushroom sauce, most likely to cover the taste and my dessert had a hair in it. They still charged me the full price of the meal! I wouldn't dare to ever eat there again!

This hotel surprised me. Don't judge a book by it's cover nor a hotel by their building facade. As soon as you step in you will find that it's a renovated property with a nice modern touch. Rooms are clean and spacious and properly equipped. Still, as in many other palaces, I'm missing plugs near the bed. It has parking and it's relatively close to the city.
There are some places to dine nearby. Bed was very comfortable. One thing that could improve is their breakfast. However, their full English is cooked on demand which is always a plus if you are looking for quality rather than quantity.

Very clean, nice hotel. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order, not like a buffet breakfast. Onsite parking is a great bonus. The only negative I could find was that the room we were in did not have central heating but instead an electric fan heater. This took ages to heat the room and was quite noisy. We stayed at the beginning of Feb so I would not visit again in the winter but any other time of the year would be fine.

Lovely hotel in a quiet part of Edgbaston. Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the University of Birmingham. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The best part was the included breakfast- on Sundays a full English breakfast is included with the price of your room and the food was all very good. You do have to do a bit of walking to get around if you don't have a car, but it is conveniently located between the University and the city center, and a relatively short walk to the five ways train station. It is also close to bus routes, and cab rides to the city center are inexpensive. I would stay here again; highly recommended.

Tayed there for 4 nightson business. The hotel is still being done up, with all the room and coridors now complete. The rooms are really moden with a 32'' inch Sansung LCD with all the freeview and Sky Sports 1 and 2. Free wifi and the bathroom is done in slate with a power shower. Now the best feature of the hotel is the food which is quality, did not have one bad meal there. If you stay there for any amount of time you will put on weight! When in Birmingham this hotel will be my first choice as the weekend rates are great!
