You will really feel at home as soon as you arrive at the Terraces Hotel in Stirling. With its warm and welcoming atmosphere, comfortable surroundings in an elegant Georgian building and the friendliest staff in town. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and good food of Melvilles Restaurant or enjoy a pint in Melvilles bar. Centrally situated, just off the main road, though in a peaceful setting with private parking, you are ideally situated to explore the Stirling town center just a two-minute walk or the many visitor attractions within Braveheart country.

As I cannot reply to your lengthy response, I was not "offered another room, " I was offered the chance to pay an extortionate extra 45 which was not possible, and given the state of my colleagues double room was not worth the extra price. I'm glad that me cancelling my room for the week gave you the chance to refurb as you severely need to. The rest of your response is irrelevant to my experience as a guest, which i reported accurately.
As do many other reviews. Shame on you. Part of original review before it got removed - Do not book the single room. There are no photos of it on the booking sites for a reason. Shamefully dilapidated with prison like furnishings. You need to refurb your rooms entirely before charging that price. 70 for that is a joke.

I have stayed here a few times now over the past couple of years for both business and pleasure, Stacy & David are always very accommodating and very welcoming. Being a creature of habit I always have the same room which is delightful, well maintained and has plenty of space. I'll be back up in the next week or so!

I only dropped in for a night, B&B, but the staff really do stand out as the major factor of this 2 to 3 star hotel. Summary however is to "try elsewhere first." There's a certain potential charm of it being so dated that isn't being explored to it's fullest by the owners, rather is probably a result of neglected decor and poor upkeep. Unfortunately it left me feeling that it's on the way to ruin. Refinement around the edges is desperately needed to make a stay here worth the exceedingly high price for what you get.
I found the bed to be uncomfortable, the shower lacking power (with a smell of stagnant water), and the breakfast low budget. On the flip side, the staff are so amazingly nice, welcoming, and helpful. They're the 5 stars, the other factors maybe 0, 1 or 2 stars. Try elsewhere first is my advice. The price here *should* be lower than a Premier Inn/Travel Lodge, not punching at the price of a Hilton.

Attended my daughter's wedding here and the experience exceeded all expectations. The wedding room was beautifully set up, the meal was absolutely delicious, impressing all the guests. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious. Everyone particularly loved the complimentary caramel wafer! All staff who attended to us were absolutely brilliant.
