The Rob Roy Hotel is wonderfully situated at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs and is set within Scotland's first National Park. Named after the legendary local folk hero Rob Roy McGregor, The Rob Roy offers excellent food friendly staff, and good old fashioned value for money. The King Robert Hotel is situated on the site of the Battle of Bannockburn on the outskirts of historic Stirling, yet only minutes from the motorway network. It is ideally placed in the heart of Scotland for those wishing to explore all our country has to offer.

We have recently stayed her for 2 night as part of a gift! The stay was AMAZING! from start to finish. When we arrived we were worried as the hotel from the outside does look run down and outdated, however it is a different matter from the inside! It is Modern, well decorated and it's a perfect hidden gem! The staff were fantastic! Especially Liz on reception and the lady running breakfast (didn't catch her name) we're lovely!
The food was incredible, loads of choice on the menu to cater for everyone, special requests were also catered for, and great choice of drinks and desserts too! Reasonable prices for amazing food! Breakfast was brilliant, buffet style service, great choices for everyone and quality of food was perfect both mornings! The rooms were small but perfect for what we wanted.
We had everything we needed in the room. Rooms were very hot so needed to ask for a fan from reception, however this was sorted instantly and staff were really apologetic. Guests arriving back after 9pm onwards were locked out and no sign up to suggest how to get back in so banging on front doors and shouting to be let in after midnight wasn't ideal and did keep us awake until gone 1am, maybe a working doorbell or better system for after the doors have been locked could be put in place! But overall a great location for where we wanted to visit, brilliant hotel and staff and food was lovely! Thank you, we will be back in the near future!

Had a wee biking trip up from wales. Booked a three man room. Was not disappointed atall. Plenty of room and never in each others way. Breakfast was exceptional food in the restaurant was good plenty of choice and nit over expensive. Bar prices for a hotel were very reasonable. Overall fantastic place to stay. Would highly recommend.

Stayed for one night while exploring Stirling. Main reason why we choose this hotel is that they accepted dogs for a small fee of 7.50 per night. The rooms are clean although the water pressure in our room was a little low. Hotel has a Spanish holiday vibe about it. Maybe that was because they cater for large tribute parties. To be fair we disinterested mined it. Bar area is little drab but the food was actually very good. Battle of Bannockburn museum is right next door, I'd recommended a visit. View in photo is view from room 260.

Each of the members of staff were great. Liz on reception, Tricia bar/restaurant, Ryan bar, Gordon entertainment, Robbie bar( loser lol ). Room large and clean bed comfy. Food very good. Some bits of the hotel need a bit of a lick of paint but overall what a great stay we had. And we met some great people too. We will come back we loved the town of Stirling too.

Not officially 4* but, in practice definitely. The welcome was second to none. All staff very friendly, courteous, efficient and professional. Meals and breakfast are great. Nothing any trouble. Close to Stirling Town Centre. An abundance of tourist attractions. First time at this hotel. Definitely be back!

We stayed for the first time over Christmas and everything was really good, lovely food and the staff were great especially barman Ryan who kept everything on track, would like to return this year too! Lovely touch was the Christmas stocking on bedroom door in the morning and the entertainment was good too.
