The name 'Holte' pays homage to an ancestral name of our owner, James, with its ties deeply rooted in the history of luxury goods. A meaning that we hope to embody with a new informal luxury spa offering right in the heart of the Lakes. You can expect specifically tailored thermal journeys; with an authentic outdoor Finnish sauna, minimal chlorine, naturally filtered pools and cosy relaxation spaces.
Bespoke treatments that go beyond the typical massage and facial offering, daily fresh food, clean drinking in the Soul spa cafe and, of course, a little bit of Swan magic thrown in.

Great stay, absolutely stunning building and location. The reception staff were excellent, really attentive and friendly. Only slight criticism is that the pool closes at 8 on Saturdays rather than 9, which would be good except it's only adults only from 7pm, if you're after a bit of down time without children running around you might be better staying on a week night when facilities are open a little later, but then we usually stay in adult only hotels. Overall a lovely hotel, lovingly decorated and maintained.

Stunning location! This was bought as a gift so we didn't know what to expect. We were lucky to arrive on a crisp blue skies day. The hotel is easily accessible and free parking. The new extension which included a second spa and rooms were available to us. This has been done to a very high standard. The room was contemporary with modern accessories.
We enjoyed the spa and wish we could of had longer. The treatments however are pricey and for usual spa and treatment couple we were put off. Bar and restaurant staff were attentive, friendly and the food was delicious (also large portions) We like the different rooms in the original part of the hotel, it meant you can get your drinks and choose your level or atmosphere. Our only negative is the garden room (222) is situated above the spa area. This made the room very warm at night.

Had a lovely stay, really nice new spa in the adults area. Food was amazing. recommend the ham hock to start and the sharing chateaubriand for main. Washed down with wine and cocktails. stuffed. Also they made the effort to create other cocktails that wasn't on the menu. The service was exceptional and great location and scenery. Would recommend for a short relaxing break.

The most relaxing and perfect stay! We had a room looking over the river with beautiful interiors and a relaxed feel to it. We booked for the thermal spa which was very therapeutic, I just wished I have booked in for a massage too as the therapy Rooms and offerings seemed amazing. You can get drinks from the bar to bring into the spa which was also really enjoyable and luxury products to use when you shower! Staff were very attentive and friendly in all areas of the business! Perfect stay thank you!

We stayed at this Hotel this weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff were so friendly, the food was brilliant and nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff at the hotel. It was lovely to see that the hotel was so accommodating to all of its guests. The room was fantastic and kept well maintained. I would recommend staying here!

We had a "lovely room" at the front of the hotel and it was lovely. We made use of the free pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. We ate at the hotel and the food was good quality. We liked the quirkiness of the numerous rooms with sofa's and chairs and interconnecting doors and several doors with stairs leading to upper floors. It was nice to see a free pool table that was popular with both guests. Children playing pool and board games, not a phone in sight!
It was lovely seeing dogs and one cat with their owners and we'll behaved. Staff were all friendly and polite even though they were kept busy. We live 20 minutes away from this hotel and visited several times in the past but this is the 1st time we've stayed the night. The new spa area that's opening soon looks fantastic, can't wait to use it. We will be staying again soon!

Myself and 9 friends paddled in open canoes to the pub on Thursday. We were happy to eat/drink outside as we had our outdoor kit on. I spoke a a very rude woman at reception who told me refreshments wouldn't be served outside. She told me to go the bar to see if I could get served, but it was very busy so I probably wouldn't get served. I then walked throught to the bar and asked if I could order drinks to take outside and I was told they were fully booked and he wouldn't be able to serve me.
There were empty tables in the bar Astonishingly bad customer service skills from both members of staff, neither myself nor the other 9 members of my party would go to the pub in the future.

Spent yesterday and stayed over last night. What a lovely time we had right from the start. Arrived an hour early and we were firstly having afternoon tea. We were greeted with smiles and it was no problem we were early. We were seated by the fire and ordered a bottle of red wine while we were waiting. The afternoon tea was yummy with a lovely choice of sandwiches and cakes.
We then checked in to a beautiful room which was spotless. Our treatments at the spa were the best I have ever had and want to personally thank Jody for the amazing massage. The visit to the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi finished our relaxation off nicely. The staff and food in the evening were perfect. Everybody is so friendly and kind, nothing is too much trouble. We can't wait to visit again very soon.

Very pleasant 3 night stay. Food was good and accommodation clean and comfortable. Hotel is undergoing major building work on new Spa extension but were warned in advance and didn't really affect our enjoyment, although the car parking is a bit of a mess and overflow car parking in a field is not acceptable (especially as building contractors were taking up space in the main car park - surely contractors should be instructed to park in the overflow?).

Fantastic place. No surprises there. Covid19 has affected things a bit, as you might suppose. Staff very helpful and friendly. One minor point I must make is that over the past 10 years, the hotel has become a victim of its own success, meaning lots and lots of visitors - it was a bit too busy for my taste. Still, it was August, and the weather was really good, so there you go. Food amazing, rooms excellent! Nothing too much trouble for reception staff and porters.
