Good atmosphere, nice staff and the food was really tasty. Unfortunately the price for the quantity of food left a bitter taste in mine and my friends mouths. Cannot knock the place for the scenery, welcoming staff and great tasting food. But yea, the price is a touch crazy.

Lovely pottery, but very expensive. Though the craftsmanship is appreciated. Would have been nice to have a few more reasonably priced items among the collection.

Dropped in as we needed something to eat, and enjoyed our picante pizza. Cooked outside in a real pizza oven makes all the difference. Will be coming again.

We stayed in the Farmer's Loft, excellent accommodation, comfortable and spacious. Thoughtfully furnished with handmade ceramics, great records on the turnstile and the kitchen kitted out for much more ambitious cooking than we managed but also robust and family friendly. The kids loved the flat and running around the fields. We ate lunch at the cafe and caught Thursday folk and pizza night, food was excellent, inventive local and seasonal, service friendly, we will come back and would highly reccomend!

It is off the beaten track and is run by the local cooperative charity. Debbie served me. She had apparently forgotten to turn the coffee machine on, and hence had to heat my latte in a microwave oven. Overall, though, the place is very cosy and inviting.

Fresh, top quality ingredients in a carefully curated and creative pub renovation. Will recommend to anyone and will visit again. 5/5.

What a great find! Last time I was here, it was a rather tired pub. It's now a stylish and friendly pub/cafe/workshop and accommodation. Coffee and cakes were fresh and really tasty, the food menu looked much better than many local places. Recommended

Such a wonderful place! The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing. The pub/bar was not yet open, but we will be back for when it is!

Possibly one of the oldest pubs in Cumbria! The Farmers Arms has just been bought by Grizedale Arts who are breathing new life in to this old pub and returning it to the heart of the community. With many activities, courses and classes planned for the future watch this space for an eclectic selection of events planned as this pub is brought back to life!
