Newby Bridge Hotel

Our room was very cramped, there is nothing to see or do on an evening, the lounge is tired and shabby. The food was good except the steak which was thin, tough and tasteless, and from memory cost 29.50 plus an extra 3.50 for a small jug of sauce. Then to cap it off, they tried to overcharge us by 60 for two nights stay. The same thing was happening to a couple who were checking out just before us.

Lovely hotel, fantastic service the staff couldn't do enough for us and really went above and beyond with service. Extremely dog friendly to with beautiful room and great food all in a lovely location. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay at the Newby Bridge Hotel, the location is perfect for getting around the Lake District. The staff are wonderful, friendly and happy to help. The room we had was comfy and spacious and the facilities are clean and great to use Cannot recommend this hotel enough

We took our daughter and two grandchildren to the Newby Bridge Inn last weekend, I was concerned there were a lot of bad ratings and markson site but I should have just not worried at all. We had a fabulous time, the children aged 6 and 8 loved every minute, thehy spent so much time in the swimming pool. The gardens were lovely and as for the weather it was perfect.

There was plenty of choice in food to chose from for the children and my daughter who is vegetarian, the food was really great. I have never been so chilled and relaxed, the staff made the visit really lovely, we found no problems with cleaning or service.there were lots of biscuits and different beverages, the breakfast was great. The Hotel is really well placed to travel arbout to see the countryside, I give them 100% for everything, thanks so much for a lovely long weekend, will be back again in a heart beat.

Lovely location for all lakes, perfect hotel.staff welcoming and could not be more attentive for all your needs from arrival to departure nothing was to much trouble. Quality food available all day and good selection at the huntsman bar. Quality rooms (number 9 has whirlpool bath) Highly recommended for a stay

Spent 2 nights at this hotel. Staff were very good, breakfast was excellent. Ate in the restaurant found the meals to be very good. Room was clean, flooring is a bit creaky as some other reviewers noted. Has a gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna but no proper changing room. Beautiful location.

Enjoyable stay, very welcoming, warm, and room extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated since refurbishments. Ideally located a short drive off the M6 and dogs welcome (Fellfoot Park only up the road for a leg stretch). Evening meals worthy of a 5 star restaurant and breakfast very good. Let down only by neglected swimming pool for residents; our little boy picked up an ear infection - and grotty changing rooms. Would recommend.

Top place and easy access for places around there and staff are brilliant and great rooms and even surprised my other half with box of treats for her birthday and also great food as well and we are going again soon. Thank you to all the staff as you are brilliant all round and top service.

Went there for a meal. Very nice food. It was a Monday night at 7.30 pm and the place was empty. But the standard was very good and we didn't feel like they were cutting back. It's a lovely old building with interesting stuff inside. Worth giving it a try.

Expensive hotel, staff tried hard but didn't make it. Bar staff had to be told gas was off, and drinks flat. Quiet evening, but slow service, long wait for food, meals disappointing when served. Food expensive, but below expected quality, gluten free meal sent back as uncooked. If traveling and looking forward to a nice time, drive past to some where else, worth stopping for.

Amazing food, soup (tomato and orange) was to die for. Carvery was really nice and the meats we're cooked to perfection. All round nice friendly atmosphere in brilliant surroundings

We have recently brought a lodge in this area so tried the pub food here. Fantastic. The portions were great and a lovely cozy atmosphere. Last night went again this time sat in their dinningroom which was pretty and airy and once again food was delicious

Stayed in a cabin in the hotel grounds and absolutely loved it. Especially loved the logburner and personal hot tub. Highly recommended.

The hotel is, I'm afraid a faded glory. The bed was uncomfortable and sagged in the middle, the 'leisure centre' was not deserving of the name and the spa whilst functional smelt a bit over chlorinated and murky. The rest of the hotel just needs an overhaul. The garden is stunning though so I'm sure that it will be wonderful if someone invests in it.

This is a decent three star hotel. Staff were friendly and hardworking. We enjoyed a two night stay recently in a comfortable room. The food in the restaurant was ok in the evening, but breakfast was better. Bar prices were reasonable for a hotel. No complaints, and an enjoyable stay.

Absolutely amazing! Can't recommend the stay enough. So friendly and welcoming. We took a large dog with us and they were so accommodating to him too! Nothing was too much for both us and the dog. We loved the food both breakfast and evening meal. In a beautiful location also. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.
