Royal Dunkeld Hotel We pride ourselves on our ability to cater for everyone. We have comfortable, cosy rooms for families, couples and individuals. If you are joining us as a backpacker or as part of a stag party, then we have alternative options that might suit. Our Annexe, for example, provides you with comfortable rooms at very affordable prices in a separate building.

We recently converted to eco-friendly, green energy with our very own biomass boilers! Grab a bite to eat at our unique "Woodlands Bistro". You couldn't feel more relaxed whilst eating stunning food freshly prepared whilst contemplating our wonderful wooden hand carved woodland animals which decorate our cosy room.

Sunday Roast Lamb Lunch. Peppery gravy if that's to your taste. No Scots Ale available. Staff were recently appointed and need to gain confidence and awareness. Very quiet after Bank Holiday celebrations

Both the Hotel and the room I was ofered were very basic. Moreover, there was no lift to the upper floors, and I received no offer of help with my heavy bags. I decided not to stay. I agreed with the Hotel that I would pay for one night of my booked two night stay. Six months on, I am still awaiting a refund for the second night.

Stopped in for Lunch but very much only a Dinner type menu on offer. Quality of food fine but just felt every item on the menu was a third too expensive! Beer garden a good asset but could do with a re-furb & tidy up.

I'm pretty sure running a hotel just now must be very difficult, so I just want to sympathise firstly. We didn't pay too much for our overnight stay so I was particularly happy with the breakfast choice and we can recommend the lovely fruit and pancakes and poached eggs. Our small road facing room needed window open so noisy until around 1am. Its very old so of course the floors creak but you can hear next doors creaks too with poor insulation. Rooms clean. Overall its a reasonable hotel for the price.

We really enjoyed our 2 night break at the Royal Dunkeld. The room was warm despite the snow outside. The staff were friendly and helpful and our evening meals were excellent. We enjoyed sitting in the bar, which had a nice atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed watching the local traditional Scottish music society, which meets and plays in the bar every Thursday.

Sadly this is a remnant from 80's Scotland. The staff at check in could not care (in fact he was only interested in downing shots in the Perth Arms as we observed later). During check in another patron informed me the beer was bad and the food just awful in the hotel and advised we go elsewhere. The room was adequate for the 1980's. Floors intensely creaky.

The bed was lumpy. Toilet boasted a massive light on the exterior wall which meant no illumination was required in there at all as it was like you had already died and gone to heaven. The hot water was sparse with the familiar dribble format and for some reason, the only seat in the room was under the tv; which meant you would bang your head on the telly if you sat down. Bizarre!

The kettle in the room boasted a pat testing sticker from 2016. About says it all. As for breakfast? We didn't chance it in the high odds of disappointment. We paid 99 for one night. At most it's worth 35. Far better places to stay in Dunkeld.which were sadly closed or full the night we were there.

Fair! Difficulty flushing loo. Breakfast very sparse - no fruits or juices - not as good as Birnham hotel where is stayed the previous night. Staff very friendly and no problems with masks. Overall, Disappointing for a hotel that purports to be superior!

We booked this through itison for a few nights away to enjoy half term and were incredibly disappointed. The car park has huge potholes and is particularly small. The hotel itself was also disappointing as it's decor is very tired and the rooms shabby and outdated, it certainly doesn't match the images on the website! The toilet was particularly poor with scabby sealant and black mould on the wallpaper.

We were supposed to get a cream tea which we eventually got after waiting 20 Minutes to be acknowledged from a stained teapot and no side plates and some sort of grey looking cream. There was zero sign of any information in the room about WiFi, service times or how to contact the reception. The hotel offers non of the descriptions it promotes and based on the service we received they don't seem too bothered about that. A 3 star rating is far too generous

We have just had a two day break at this lovely hotel. Friendly staff, clean room and the food was delicious. We could not have asked for a better break away. The service from Natalia was amazing! We are looking forward to our next visit.

Great wee find for a burger and a pint. The steak pie was a winner too!

My wife and I showed up on a snowy night in January with our twin babies. The staff came out at 11pm, helped us in, made us comfortable, and gave us a beautiful room. Even brought us a sandwich and drinking chocolate. The view of the deer in the back garden in the morning was breathtaking. The food was excellent and we were treated like Royalty. This was my favorite stop in all of Britain. I loved it.

Stayed 2 nights with the dogs. The staff couldn't have been more dog friendly, even cooking sausages for them at breakfast. Great place

Always a nice stay here. Very beautiful grounds of 280 acres of forest with deer, red squirrels and salmon fishing on The Tay.

Just had a 3 day break here and wouldn't hesitate to come back. The room was comfortable, cleaned daily and staff were more than happy to accommodate our dog. The breakfast was great- full cooked breakfast and buffet for cereals, toast, juice etc. The staff in this hotel are so friendly and really make your stay here. Dunkeld is such a great place to stay especially if you enjoy walking.

This is a three star hotel masquerading as a one star dump. The only thing this place has going for it is the fact that the owners have a sense of humour, well they must have at over 130 per night. I travel a lot and expect value for money, so much so I went a mile down the road and found a superb three star hotel at under half the price.

Nice hotel but as with all old buildings looking a little bit tired. Room good with comfortable bed window wouldn't close properly so gap at top. Shower not powerfully when on at hot but can live with that for a few days. Good cooked breakfast. Staff all very good, beer garden at the back which looks to get the sun most of the day.

In addition to a hotel, this place has a nice restaurant open to all. The prices are moderate and the food is great; the pork belly dish I had, whose components I had never seen before, was filling and diverse in flavor. All in all, a great food option in Dunkeld.

Surprised by previous review as we are a local outdoorsy couple who often show up here in our less than fancy clothes for a good meal. Despite the decor, it really isn't at all posh and their burgers are a local pub favourite. We often bring family here in the holidays as we have a couple of very deaf grandparents who struggle to hear anything in pubs playing loud music. The dining room here is fairly quiet in comparison but usually busy and serves great meals. Steak pie is well known :
