Services
All our bedrooms are decorated in an elegant style in keeping with the era of the house and offer tranquil retreat after an exhilarating day exploring the Perthshire countryside. Check out time is generally around midday. As we advise guests that their rooms will be available for check in from 2pm this gives housekeeping a chance to address the room for them.
Our restaurant features an extensive a la carte menu offering traditional, yet imaginative food using local fish, game and produce, with our wine list being chosen to complement the menu. At Lands of Loyal we have four dining rooms available, three of which have open fires, especially lovely on a cold winters evening.
The Lands of Loyal offers a unique and highly characterful setting, particularly suited to traditional, intimate gatherings up to around 120 guests for both daytime and evening receptions. We have 3 lovely dining rooms, a small function room, and a truly spectacular main hall making for a very warm, inviting and flexible gathering place.

Staying at a Scottish castle This hotel is a great hotel especially for enthusiastics that want to feel what it is like to stay at an old castle. It seems like a hidden treasure. We were the only Dutch people and that is already very special. Of course there are some cons like a low waterpressure, creaky floors, beds that are a bit less comfortable.
But for this you can experience a four poster bed and feel like royal. The "lobby" is very special and like you have never experienced ever. I never make much use of a lobby, but in this case it is an experience on itself. It is very classic including the smell that reminded me of a very old cigarette-/cigarshop in my home town combined with a bit of the smell of the food that was prepared.
A bit stuffy like the house of my grandmother smelled. There is an always burning fire in the big fireplace that is the center of this room. The surroundings are excellent as well. I added a googleplace of the "hill" where you can take a long sturdy walk. It is just of the lane to the hotel en to the right. And then just walking straight ahead for miles.
The people are very nice and do their best to make it comfortable. Don't order the goat cheese followed by the shrimp (tasted alle the same, cause it was fried in the same pot) and you are fine. I suggest the Aberdeen Angus beef filet. That one was fine. Next day we had an afternoon tea that was excellent as well. What stands out are the eye for details.
In the interior, but also in the tea. Also the fire always gets attention. I loved all the details that got attention. They searched for a lot of old stuff in several markets and shops and made it work! The coffee (very important in my reviews) is old fashioned filtered coffee. It fits in the scene and there is nothing wrong with filtered coffee. Better than some of the espressos I had. The stay is so special that all those cons was no reason to distract a star. I strongly recommend this experience.

Gorgeous hotel in the countryside. Magnificent victorian architecture and gardens. The room was huge and decadent, with an enormous bathroom and super comfortable beds. We had dinner and breakfast, the food was delicious and the portions were generous. We even enjoyed our pre- and post- meal drinks in the finely ornate hall with the large fireplace on. All of the building was really warm throughout. The staff was very attentive as well. Great experience overall!

Strange welcome, they got us to sit down in the main room without any explanation whatsoever, they then asked us to order a drink and gave us a menu, I had to ask if we would be eating in the sofa but the answer was no. We finally got to sit down in one of the dining rooms which was lovely decorated. Food was good, very big portions, wine list was fine. If they had just explained the whole situation a bit better when we arrived it could have got a much better review

Me and my fiancee made our annual pilgrimage to Lands of Loyal to see the Christmas tree, we were not disappointed. While we were there we took the opportunity to have a bit to eat and as per usual the food was excellent and the staff were amazing. We probably qualify as regulars now. Thank you so very much for everything. Regards Rob and Jackie

This was just beautiful - everything about this place. Walking in just took my breath away. Beautiful staircase, open fire, so relaxing, delicious food, fabulous owners and staff. We were in room 5 and could have stayed there forever. The whole place was faultless. Will definitely return here - hidden gem. Thank you from Debra & Paul.
